 Please bear with me here: I currently use esmoker's 510 mega batteries with atty + flat tip carts from esmoker's travel kit (they are beautiful!) I am looking for some cartomizers for on the go, and for certain flavors that I don't want in my atty's such as cinabomb and orange. I am also getting my mom started with vaping and need to keep things as simple as possible with her. I am letting her borrow some extra supplies I have and want her to try for herself atty + cart v/s dripping v/s cartos before she orders her own supplies/starter kit. I do not want to get joyetech 510 cartos since they require too much work to fill (no syringes please!), plus I have read too much about the plastic casing melting, melted plastic taste, etc...I have used Boge cartos in the past -the draw is too airy for me (I prefer the draw and flavor of a freshly filled cart + atty), and I don't like the white cap on top -I prefer it to be all black and match (silly, I know) -I suppose I could replace the white cap with a black drip tip. Anyways, when I started e-cigs and before I knew what was up, I ordered the Blu kit (sent it back) -but I kept a pack of their cartomizers -washed out the JC liquid and re-filled them with my own...I LOVED the draw and the flavor from their brand of carto's (just like a freshly filled cart on an atty)...and they even had a black hard tip cap on the end :2cool: They lasted for several fills, but I ended up throwing out all my cartos since they had been sitting around for about 6 months while I went on an analog binge and I felt they were contaminated/stale (I didn't want to go through the hassle of trying to clean them and change the flavors). Does anyone have any clue where I could get empty cartomizers like the blu brand??? I do not want LR cartos since I know they drain battery life. I tried G4 cartos and hated them: nasty rubber taste + cap falls off way too easy and then wasted spilled e-liquid mess! I don't like the looks of the clearomizers. I really prefer flat tip mouth peices -I did find a flat tip 510 mega cartomizer, but of course it was a LR  I have spent hours and hours reading and searching different cartomizers -I'm just totally baffled and am about to pull my hair out. Any ideas? :vapor:

[NOTE: The photos in this post are not to scale with each other. For example, a drip tip is not larger than a Riva.;-)]

I don't recommend LR cartomizers (up to and including 2.0 ohm) for skinny batteries less than 450+ mah, e.g. for use on your 280 mAh 510 XL batts. Boge does make great cartos and I would have recommend their standard resistance ones, e.g., $7/five-pack from LiteCigUSA. But you have found that don't like them, nor the Joye brand. You might want to try the SLB 510 cartos ($6/five-pack from LiteCigUSA) or EastMall 510 cartos ($8 from Vapor Junction).

These all come with the ubiquitous white caps. You've said that you don't like drip tips, but you might like the flat-mouthed Black Shorty Delrin Dripper Tips ($2.50 ea from MadVapes).

Your cartomizer options are limited with the low mAh skinny batts. Have you considered the higher mAh "fat batts"? They are wider diameter than the skinny batts, but they are really not that "fat." [I coined that term 'fat batt' a year and a half ago and have some regret about it.]

These would enable you to use a wide range of cartomizers, including LR ... and the dual coils (which I and many others think are quite special). You could pick up a compete kit (two batts, two attys, and charger) of the 3.7V 750 mAh Riva-510 for only $30 from Liberty-Flights. [Click on the "20% Discount" icon in the upper left of the screen first and select the "Lite Bundle" from the linked page.]

If these are too fat for you, allow me to share my latest enthusiasm: the brand new Elite 808 from CigEasy; $50 for a complete two-battery/five-cartomizer kit. This Kr8-compatible model is slightly wider than the skinny batts, but more slender than the fat batts. And the mAh falls between the two as well: 350 mAh, even more than your 280 mAh XL 510, but with a shorter battery. [NOTE: Since it is Kr8-compatible, it is not 510-compatible, at least without an 808/901-to-510 adapter.]

Although I do like its cigarillo-like size and shape – and its 2 ml-capacity cartomizer – what I am wowed by is the exceptional vapor, while still having good flavor and moderate TH.
