so i've been vaping for about half a year, and have been reusing the same cartridge inserts. i had left my 510 at a house out of town and hadnt been able to go back up to get it. So i ordered an atomizer and some ejuice since i had my charger and spare battery at my house here. Though the cart i have, has no insert. i would like to start vaping tomorrow when my order gets delivered, but the insert is the problem.

My question is, what can i put in the cart to hold the liquid. My first thought was to tear out an analog filter and use the filter in there to hold the liquid, but im not sure if that wold work, since they contract when they get hot. does anybody have any ideas? i dont like the idea of dripping directly onto my atomizer every few puffs.

Most people use the blue foam as Java described, or polyfill which can also be purchased at pet stores. Polyfill is the white fluffy stuff used in aquarium filters. Blue foam is also used in aquarium filters. If you buy either you'll probably have a lifetime supply, and they aren't expensive. You don't need to use any filler though, that's called dripping. Just drip 3 drops into your atomizer, put the empty cart on and vape. You'll get about 8 to 10 drags before you need to drip another 3 drops. A drip tip makes it easier though because you don't have to take it off, you just drip through the large hole in the end.

Got any tea bags? Go to YouTube and use tea bag mod as search words. You'll find plenty of instructional videos on how to make filler material out of tea bags (less the tea leaves).

cskent has the right idea about dripping, though. You're likely to wind up getting yourself a drip tip and throwing the carts away.

There's a pyramid tea bag mod....you need to buy some Lipton tea that comes in the pyramid tea bag (It's different from regular tea bags...although I HAVE used a regular tea bag....roll it up, cut it to the right length....it'll wick okay). Paper towels will burn. Whatever you use will be touching a really hot atomizer....so you can't use paper towels or toilet tissue or anything like that. If you sew, maybe you have some polyfill.....quilt batting works. Otherwise, visit the local pet store. I use the blue foam (size U, by the way) and I really, really like it. I use it exclusively.

thanks for the help guys. if i cant get to the store, i'll drip until i can. i looked on youtube and im going to do the teabag mod, as i have some pyramid teabags in my cabinet already (berry, the same flavor as my juice!). if i like the drip ill just get a drip tip. carts have been annoying me as ive been feeling as if i havent been getting much economy out of the carts anyway. i get leaks, a bunch of slightly heated juice ive had to take the atomizer off and blow out, and backwash of juice into my mouth (36mg, ow). i was not aware that i could get so many puffs off of a direct drip, i thought it was one or 2 max.

I just counted how many drags I got from 3 drops and it was 12 before I had to drip again. In my opinion cart's aren't worth the extra hassle and expense. They don't provide many more hits than just dripping, they're more of a hassle to use, and they cost about $3/box. Drip tips are usually about $4 or so, and they'll last pretty much forever. Some people feel that the flavor of the juice comes through better too.

well my juice and atomizer came in. i was excited when i saw a cart attatched to the atomizer, but alas, no filler in the cart! lol. anyway, ive been dripping for a couple of hours (on an auto 510 battery, not reccommended according to most folks - ive been careful after every drip ran out to check for liquid in the battery cup). and i have to say, i quite like dripping. it gives me a good measurement on how much i've vaped. usually i just vape and vape till i feel twitchy and hungry. i think thats a sign of nicotine overdose lol. im probably going to get a drip tip for my manual battery, and do a pyramid teabag cart for the auto battery since i have 2 carts. thanks for all of your help gus
