I don't want to sound dumb. But I need to ask because I always thought that an atomized cartridge was a cart with an atomizer built right in. But, I got my Riva kit the other day, and I have to insert my atomized carts into the 510 atomizer. So, if in fact it is both an atomizer and cart, then why do I still have to use an extra atomizer? Can someone please explain this to a noobie like me? lol

Hmmm, a cartomizer should just be one piece.

I use cartomizers for the Kr808, but it's pretty much the same thing.

A cartomizer has a wire (the heating element - basically an ultra-simplistic atty) running up through the middle of it, with a wicking sock wrapped around it. And around that is filler material. The filler material holds liquid, which soaks into the wicking sock, which vaporizes when the wire heats up.

It's all one piece, one end screws onto the battery and the other end is the mouthpiece.

Are you sure you got cartomizers? I'm a bit confused... Atomizers don't have a screw top - you just push the cart into the open end. But cartomizers screw in. So I wouldn't think it'd be possible to insert a cartomizer on top of an atomizer...

Look inside the cart/carto. Is it just filler? Nothing else? If it is, it's a regular cart. If it's not, I'm confused. :)

Hmm, that's just what I thought. It doesn't make sense for what I have to be actual atomized cartridges. The only thing I could thing is that Nhaler.com substituted regular carts for the cartomizers. It even says "Atomized Cartridge" 10PCS on the box. BUT, I do find it wierd that they dont even take up the length of the box. They are WAY short, like just over half the size.
I knew that they couldn't be atomised carts, I'll just have to email them and see what's up. Ther than that, my order was great. Though my LR atty and one of my regular atties had a funny metalish, chemical taste. I see it alot on this forum. I washed them out with SoCo and Coke before rinsing them good, and I'm gonna let them dry overnight before I try them again. I hope it helps the taste.

Here's some pics to show you what I mean.

The first is a cartomizer. You can see the bottom is a screw-in, and thus it can't really be put on top of an atomizer.

The second is also a cartomizer. You can see the top is a mouthpiece.

The third is a cart. You can see the filler material.

The forth is an atomizer. You can see the bottom screws in, but the top is threadless, and the cart is just pushed into it. Again, you can see how it's be impossible to put the cartomizer into the atomizer.
