Follow your supplier/manufacturer's instructions for initial charging (if they are provided) for warranty purposes.

There are so many write ups and opinions on this matter its confusing for newbs.

Myself, I follow the instructions. If there aren't any, I do an initial charge of 6 hours, followed by 20 mins use, then a another 1 hour charge (regardly of charger light color). Subsequent charges until the charger light turns green.

As I said, this is what I've done "MYSELF", and don't really care about the opinions of those who choose to shoot it down because........ it has worked for me EVERY time, and my batteries have been hassle free.

An update, the 510 batts REALLY do not last me more than a couple of hours but I am a constant vaper and am not too bothered by this, I just keep rotating four batts. Two would not be enough I'm sure since they do seem to be used up before the previous one is fully charged.

USB passthru when at the PC might be saving me some batt life now tho. Just got it yesterday and keeping one atty/cartridge here at the PC with it to use when I sit down at the computer. :)

Charging lithium-ion batteries

"Lithium-ion is a very clean system and does not need priming as nickel-based batteries do. The 1st charge is no different to the 5th or the 50th charge. Stickers instructing to charge the battery for 8 hours or more for the first time may be a leftover from the nickel battery days."
