510 double long 2.5x cart mod.. Easy mod.

GET READY FOR IT!!! lol. Its a quick and easy mod and i'ts probably gona freak some of you out.. I think the length can be as long as you want.

Sorry just so freakin amazed at how easy this is that i cant contain myself! hehe.

Yes, its got the power of the slug holding all that freakin juice!

Couple of versions so far.. one quicky that can extend it about the full length inside the normal cart.. meaning no more 2 liquid catches. The other has a back door 510 cart added right on it with the 2 catches at the end, hense the size 2.5x the ruglar cart and i'm sure i'll go for the grand daddy 2 full length carts. Dont know if i can do 3 forsure yet but hehe i'll try.

Tools needed:

Drill/dremel
snips
straw
maybe a small file
slug!


Prob change the name when i get enough time to think of one.. but you can suggest names!

Oh quick note thats important.

You need to have the stretch neck straw for the bend. If you do it right you can suck air threw the straw.. and thats what you want! If you just bend a normal straw it will pinch at the bend and no air will pass. If no air will pass then you wont beable to fill the staw with fluid and it wont wick. Make sure when you insert eh straw at first to see if you can still suck air threw one side.. AND ALSO.. Make sure you dont crack the straw at the bend. Blow threw one end with your finger covering the other.. If air passes threw you got a crack in the straw. Get a new straw.

NOTE: Its gota have a stretchy neck on it.. adjustable neck on the straw.

hehe thanks man! Yup, thats the fun thing about this mod. A fun liltte project that can only get better. Infact i've already figured out a few changes and have been playing with it since dinner.. sorry about not updating the post with details.

I've already inproved it The tough part about it was getting the damn straw to fit threw the 2nd half. Seemed to hold up and i had to keep grinding out the cut out on the 2nd juice chamber end.. then thought.. Why do i need anything in the 2nd cart??? Go i started grinding it out, gutting it out totally. That way nothings in the way of the straw and on top of it, i might beable to use a larger straw.. All the extra empty space in the 2nd cart will just be the passage way for the vapor to exhaust into your mouth.

I've already fit 30 drops in the straw i'm using now! hehe. Thats a big difference from 12-14 i was getting with the shotgun slug.

You can make this look better by cutting down the 1st cart in half or the 2nd since theres so much dead space at the end of the carts.

I've already noticed the draw on this is crazy.. just like the 801 with its large atty.

Welp, enough chatting.. gota get back to thinking about the cart mod! lol.

Update:

Noticed since totally gutting the 2nd cart so there no juice chamber or side vents the draw is super easy! Dont feel any different then a single cart. Now an easy drag

I now have a total black double cart.. The thing looks nuts with a mega 510 battery! Its forsure a pen style e-cig now.

A single large tube or straw thats capped at the end would be ideal.. Though i dont want to have to use epoxy to attach some end cap to the end to seal it.

One of those 1/4 inch clear tubes would prob work if you can get some kind of plug on the end.. .maybe they sell something i dont know.

Though, those tubes are usually cheap and porous right? After time it will stain and look brown with who knows what growing inside.

Lots of room for improvment forsure.. but at the moment i'll be sure to have this baby with me at my parents house for Thanksgiving. Puffin like a choo choo!

My god you can melt it together! hehe.. Nice one! I know some plastics you can melt together but i didnt think this is one of them. Great suggestion!


Sucks i have my kids with me all day till the wife gets home from work around 10PM.. So messing around with this mod for me is gona be turtle. I'll be thinking about it all day though! lol

P.S. I just happen to have a lot of 1/4" tubing as i use it for the fish tank pump. I tried shoving it in a cart and it will just make it in the filler chamber. Though the walls are about 2 16ths thick so i dont know if it would end up being that much more of a larger container then the straw i have in there now.

I also thought that if i culd use that tube that i could find something for an end cap to plug the tube. Then you could just pull the end cap off the cart and pull the plug and refill and plug it and go! hehe.. Would be super easy to refill that way.

I would think.. i have some 1/4" tubing and have pushed it in from the top into the juice chamber.. Its a tight fit though once you get to where it narrows at the lips. It may be a good idea to shorten the length of the juice chamber somehow. That way its just narrow at the top of the chamber and then your big tube will be at the full width there after the full length of it.

The only prob like i mentoned before.. ya gota figure out how to cap it off at the end. Something easy to remove would be great as then you could easily refill it and close it back up and pop the cart end cap on.

They may have plug caps for it at the hardware store.. no idea but i have seen plugs for larger tubing.

I fully encourage your work and investigation.... but trust me, that won't work. If you take a look at the Reservoir Straw Mod thread, you'll see that this has already been tried..... and it doesn't work for the reasons stated.

Messing around with one of those clicky pens that has the rubber finger grip that is in that drip mod.

By accident, i noticed that the ink chamber has an end cap to it.. Here it comes off easy and i cant believe it but its a perfect fit for my 3 16ths diameter straws! lol. Awe crap! Its got a tiny hole in the middle of it.. ahhh thats smart! Thats to allow the ink to flow (wick) to the tip of the pen.. Just like how i was saying that straw tube i have in the mod now.. you dont want a air tight seal on the backside or the juice wont flow and wick. Thats why i mentioned to not have the straw pinched in the middle where we bend it.

I was trying with my limited time (while my 8 month old son was sleeping) to see if i could melt to pieces of the straw into a Y shape so i could have the bottom of the way at the back of the cart with it pluged. Then i could easily remove the plug to refill. Though i could'nt seem to get 2 pieces of the straw to melt together.. Didnt have alot of time to mess with it.. might beable to get it.

So if you use tubing you have to cut the end cap off and with the straw you don't. Is that right? When you get time can you post instruction with the pics? This seemed like it would work but I never got around to trying it.
