You know how it is when you dive right into the world of vaping and never look back. I now have everything I need, 510 batteries (4), atomizers (4), PCC, ejuice, carts, ac chargers (2), etc, etc.... Ok, some aren't working too well.
I just can't seem to shake that nagging every-once-in-awhile twitch of "oh, no, my batteries are all dead!!" and the anxiety that goes with it. Lets face it, I need to upgrade to better batteries, but then what will I do with all my parts and accessories?
So you hear about the Mega 510 or the Janty EGo or the TW tornado. What's the easiest, most cost efficient way to upgrade and still be able to use most of what I already have? Will 510 megas fit my already have atomizers? Will they fit my PCC and chargers? Will the Tornado or EGo use some or all of my parts? Or ultimately, should I just wait till these are all fried and basically start over?

Many thanks, friend

A lot of your questions sound rhetorical. I'll respond to what I think is the jist of your concern.

There is no one best e-cig (for everyone) and never will be. And just like everything else in consumer electronics, there will never be that ultimate breakthrough, never to be topped. Arguments can be made for being the first person on the block to buy an iPad, the last person, or someone who never does. [Psst: Next month, I'm releasing the DaBoomPad in 3D!]

Primary question to ask yourself: Do you like your Joye 510? Does it provide you with satisfying vapor, flavor, and throat hit? If the answer is no, then don't buy any more 510-based parts or accessories. Try other models, e.g., the Kr8 or my beloved penstyle.

If it is basically yes (even with some qualifications), then identify what those qualifications are. The typical one is battery life. If that is the case for you, then ask yourself what size and shape e-cig you might like best (as well as how much improvement in battery life you want and how much you want to spend).

  • If you want something no larger than what you have, make no changes (180 mAh) and just buy more parts and continue to try new e-liquid. Oh, and check out a passthrough, especially a true passthrough (without an inline battery).

  • If something a bit longer but no fatter is OK, get the mega batts (280 mAh) and perhaps mega attys and carts.

  • If something just a little bit longer and a bit fatter, then get the eGO/Tornado (650 mAh).

  • If something considerably longer and/or fatter (and/or with higher voltage), then get a mod (320 to 3000 mAh, 3.7 to 6+V). [To explore that huge complex world, check out youtubecommercial's vast collection and this guide.]
If you are sick of filling cartridges that don't seem to be that effective and you don't want to drip, then get one of the new 510 cartomizers (tan smaller capacity soft carts or black larger capacity hard carts) to use on any of the above.

If you want your vaping to have more oomph, but don't want huge batteries, get a low-resistance 510 atty (when they are back in stock at NHaler or Totally Wicked or when other suppliers get them). Stick it on an eGO/Tornado or a Magnum or a small 3.7V mod (at least 450 mAh) and vape at "simulated 5V" (actually at the same 10-12 watts often generated by 5V mods).

You get the idea: identify what is important to you ... and go for it (within your budget).
