I already have a 510 5 slot charger, a 10 slot charger, a one slot charger, an AC adapter, lots of 510 carts and 6 regular 510 atty's. The problem is the batteries. I have 6 510 mega batteries and they are starting to fade. Only getting like 1-2 hours on each of them.

My question is, should I switch to the eGo and do I have to buy the whole kit (cignot) which comes with 2 atty's 2 650 batteries, 2 cones, 1 usb charger, 1 wall adapter and 5 carts or do I just need to get part of that. I don't know what's interchangeable and what's not.

Will the Ego batteries work for me? Should I buy more than the 2 the kit comes with or do they last a while. I had good luck with my first 510 batteries but it seems the replacement ones have not lasted very long and it is pricey replacing them all the time. Not to mention the hassle.

Any advice would be appreciated. I refuse to go back to analogs but this short battery life is a hassle.

The 510 attys will fit the eGo, but you may also want the cone part that covers the bottom of the atty. It makes it look better, and seems to affect the heat and airflow of the atty in a positive manner. You will need either an eGo charger, or I think there are adapters/extenders that allow you to use a regular 510 batt charger port. Likely it will be the 10-port charger you have that will allow this with an extension adapter, as the single charging units generally have a deeper hole to screw the batt in. There are also eGo batts available (not from cignot I don't think) that have a USB port on the end so you can use as a PT. Another point about using the 10x 510 charger for the eGo battery is that it will take much longer to charge than a regular 510 batt. Has more electrochemical material inside it to charge up, and thus the bigger mAh value, too. It should work fine, and others have done this, but I am a somewhat cautious person, and I prefer to use chargers that are designed for a particular battery. I don't think the charging specs are too different from a regular 510 batt charger, and there have not been any problems doing this that I know of, but with Li-ion batteries, I do try to go by the book.

Also, there are various sizes of eGo batts. There is the original 650 mAh (a 510 mega batt is 280 mAh), a 1000 mAh batt, and a 1400 mAh. While these numbers are generally sold as a bit higher than they actually are, you get the idea. An original eGo batt should last about 2x as long as a mega batt.

Its your judgment as to what you should buy. Generally a kit like you say will be cheaper than buying all the components separately, and a couple extra attys is a good thing. I don't know how many extras you have, but attys tend to die when you least want them too.

The Riva and the Tornado are other PVs which are essentially eGo's, but called something else, like the Joye 510 is also a Titan 510, Yeti, and other names.

Just a few points to add...

- From personal experience - the 5 slot charger will work on eGo batts with the adapter.
- If you get the usb charger for the eGo (I also recommend) - don't try to charge regular 510 batteries with it. The amperage is too high.
- There is a 900mAh eGo batt that lasts about 9 hours (the 1000mAh lasts @10) and the size of the 900 is only a bit longer than the regular 650mAh batt whereas the 1000 and 1300/1400 batts are considerably bigger - and esp. with the 1000mAh - that extra hour isn't worth the extra length, imho. Kinda ruins the balance whereas the 900 doesn't. Also the Riva batt is rated at 750mAh and does last a bit longer than a regular eGo batt - same size though.
- There is a new Riva Special Edition batt that has been tested underload at @3.7v. Other eGo, Riva and Tornado batts test at @3.2 underload - that can make a difference in wattage depending on the ohms of your attys. IOW - more vapor and with stronger flavors can be more flavor. However lighter flavors may get washed out - as with any high watt set up.
