510 issues

I got a 510 the other day, it's a 3 pc. For some reason the cart doesn't fit snug to the atty and juice leaks out around where they join together. It's keeps doing it even when the cart is almost empty. I don't hold or store it vertically either. Is this normal? They are all pre-filled carts that came with the pv and don't seem overfilled. Should I just ditch the carts and get some cartomizers? Or should I contact the supplier?

Have you tried them on a different atty? Might be good to make sure it’s the carts and not the atty. I never had problems with leaking at that joint unless I overfilled and all my carts seemed to fit well. Carts are cheap, around $3 for 5 unfilled, but if you bought a lot of the prefilled, I’d contact the vendor.

I think carts, cartos and dripping all have a learning curve and it's probably good to at least try them all, but faulty hardware creates problems regardless of which method you use.

i've heard the fit is a typical problem. you can use 901 whistle tips and they fit much better

Opened a few of the other carts that came with it, and switched to the spare atty. They're still leaking and 2 of the carts caps (the end you drag on) keeps popping out of the end, the silicone disc inside wont seat straight and it causing the cap thing to push out..I got my mom the same model and hers seem fine. I'm thinking it's the carts.

So the 901 whistle tips are interchangeable with the 510? These carts seem so small the way they are designed when compared to my kr808d-1 cartos. Looks like it holds much less juice also.

ya give the 901's a try or take something like a pin or small nail and heat it up and press it on the side (inside) the 510 cart to make a bump that will hold it in place better.

Excellent tip! I had a problem with the carts that came with my LF ego being a bit too small, but it wasn't a problem for me because I had alot of spares I ordered from Health Cabin that fit snugly, but great info for people that are having that problem.

No mod, but yeah the carts I got with the 510 had discs in them. The carts are so loose that if I lay it on my desk and pick it up later there is a line of juice on the desk under the pv. Kinda sucks, I keep getting juice all over my fingers when I pick it up or use it. I could understand if I had filled or refilled it or something but I haven't yet. It's almost like the polyfil isn't holding it.
I can't wait for my cartos to come in. They have to be a huge improvement!

Heh, now the battery button has fallen out and gotten itself lost. Hoping to find a button from a dead 510 in the swap/trade thread. I have the worst luck I swear LOL Might just stick to my Kr808d-1, it seems to be a better model so far.

lol. Sorry to hear about your bad luck. The cart/atty fit thing is a royal PITA. Some thoughts:

If you haven't tried dripping yet, this is a great time to try it since the carts are falling off anyway. Basically, ignore the cart filler crap. Put 3 drips directly on the atty bridge, put the cart back on and vape. When it gets "dry" or tastes different, drip 3 more drops in.

No leaking, no filler, no filler mods, no hassle. When/if you decide you like the direct drip method, you can get a drip tip. They have a rubber o-ring around em, and will solve the fit issue too.
