ok got my 510 Friday, the battery is charged, and I refilled one of the carts with Marlbro from nhaler..before I filled it I kept getting a water bubbling sound (think back to your experimental days hitting a ...., it's that sound)...barely any hit or "smoke" from it. washed the filler and cart out...and filled same thing...would the atomizer be screwed already? I mean i get it nice and warm to my fingers touch while assembled..but I'm just curious what I might be doing wrong?

I'm guessing you overfilled the cart, which dripped onto the atomizer and flooded it.

Put the screw-end of the atty in your mouth (take the battery and cart off), and blow a few times, until you don't get a gurgling sound. Then put it back and try again (by now the cart has probably dripped off enough liquid that you're OK).

Also, before you say there's no smoke, try sucking a bit into your mouth and then blowing it right out -- there might be more vapor than you think. Most "Marlb" flavors are pretty bland, and on a brand new unit you might not notice any flavoring (other than the atty primer).

Good luck!

You overfill the cart and when you draw, the juice get suck up in the cart (where the vapor going through) thats why making that sound. You just need to pull the cart out, keep the mounthpiece side up, blow in there, wipe the juice comes out then put it back in the atts and vape, your 510 should work fine now!

there is a learnign curve you dont need to fill a cart as offten as you think when you first start vaping 510s

I've been having the opposite experience. The more I use this puppy, the shorter my carts are lasting.

I'm not sure if I'm just asking too much from the system, but I tapped out two carts while going out-and-about today. Maybe 4-5 analogs worth.

Both have the straw mod, and seem to last for less and less time. It's actually got me a little concerned about the drive I have coming up, 12 hours across several states. Not exactly sure how that is going to play out other than just loading up 10 carts and stopping when the last one gives me that hint of burnt (I think I need a stronger flavoring, as the flavor tends to go away for me rather quickly, so the bunt smell/taste is really my first indicator since the vapor isn't always so obvious with how long I hold...)

Once I get some more juice I will be able to play around with PTB (got some tea today, hah!), and normal and such, but from what I can tell, straw mod isn't working for me.

What Bubo said. You know it's time to change when the vapor starts tasting weird. If you really, really hate that taste you can top off more often, but that's the key indicator that it's time for a change.

And unless you're chain-vaping, you'll probably need to swap batteries more often than you'll need to top off your cart. I go through around 2-3 ml a day, and I don't top off more than about 3 times a day.

Well, it stands to reason that if you're using it more, it'll last less time, lol.

One thing I figured out about the straw mod - make sure you don't have too much filler in it. I take about 1/4 - 1/3 of the filler out when I put the straw in. And make sure it sits BELOW the top of the straw. Also, take the filler out and rinse it out and dry it every once in a while. The liquid sometimes thickens up over time and sticks to the filler.

To the OP - you know it needs to be refilled when the vapor production is low and you get a dry/burnt/chemical taste.

One tip I will share on filling the 510 cart works well for me. I fill it all the way up until juice pools at the top. I then wad up a tissue and wick that liquid up by touching it to the filler.

I do this twice for a newly filled cart. No flooding problems since I began this.

I use the same basic trick.. except I use the tip of the bottle to suck that last drip back out. Don't need the tissue and I save that precious drop of juice!

Also, after I've topped it back off, I use the paperclip or toothpick to pull the filler back up flush with the cartridge body. I know that the bridge will push it back down.. and that's OK. I just want to make sure that the bridge is touching the filler.
