im really desperate...
I want to use the joyetech 510 auto 220 mah battery, and noticed i have 3 options for an atty.

1-ce2 cartomizer:

has a great vapor production, but is very leaky, and even though its capacity is 1 ml, it dries out after 0.4 ml... Thus I find myself refilling like crazy.
So I tried the 2 ml dual coil, but it has a poor vapor production, and makes my auto batt twinkle, since when I stop inhaling, it still runs on...

so maybe something else, I wondered.

2-ce2 clearomizer:
good vape ,good capacity, terrible leaks! If I put it down for an hour or more, it floods up, so it needs a quick exhale blow before every usage...

3-joyetech 510 tank:
this thing really hates VG juice! it burns the cotton in the tank, and also make the auto battery stuck.

so im really depressed, since I really dig the cig like, auto 510 battery.

pleeeeeeeeeeease tell me you know what is the configuration to minimize those issues:blink:

If it is just a 510 220 mAh auto batt, and you are using VG juices, then in my experience the two things that will work best are an original 510 atty (2.5 ohm) or perhaps an LR Boge cartomizer.

I never could get VG juices to work with the 510-tank. CE2 type clearomizers 3.0 ohm work well for me, but I thin the juice with 10-20% water, depending on the amount of flavoring. Thick juices will not wick well with any CE-type carto.

If these are 510-T batteries, then they are a big higher voltage than regular 510 batts. With 510-T batts I have had good luck with these clearos:

Mine are auto, and I put a carto condom with the end removed over the clearo mouth piece, for nice biting and puffing hands free. Should work ok with regular 510 batt, although maybe not as strong.

Dual coil will have too much drain on these little batts, and could kill the batt. Best with single coil, 2.0 ohms and up...and some would say 2.0 ohms is too low. Most 2.0 ohm cartos are actually 2.2-2.4 ohms, however.

Yeah, I agree with Kurt. Your options are somewhat limited if you're using a 220 mAh auto battery and thick VG juices. I would recommend cartomizers, but filler type cartos do not like very thick juices... The 510-T atties, designed to be used with 510 batteries, work fine, but they are so small (0.5 or 0.7ml capacity) that they have to be refilled constantly.

I don't know how thick your juices are, but as Kurt suggested, you may try thinning them out a bit with distilled water (don't use tap water). Can you switch to a PG/VG blend? If you can, I like 80/20 or 70/30 PG/VG ratio the best.

I really like Boge LR (2.0 Ω) cartomizers, but they need tobe filled properly to work well. I often use a syringe and a needle (18g, sharp needle works great). But you don't have to do this--just make sure that the filler is fully saturated before you start vaping.

I also like SmokTech 2.0 or 2.5Ω single coil 510 cartomizers (DO NOT get dual coils for your little battery!). They have a much more porous filler than the Boges and are much easier to fill.

And I would recommend that you add at least one 280 mAh manual (or auto, if you must ;)) battery to your battery collection--it will last longer with your LR cartomizers.

Good luck and happy vaping!
