I have been vaping for about 16 months. I have quite a bit of experience, and after trying multiple PV's I settled on the EGO for it's convenience. I use 510 LR attys from PureSmoker and all my liquid from PureSmoker.

I am having a problem.

I have noticed, and I don't understand why, but it seems darker liquids cause the atty's to die quicker. Is this a known issue? Is this just the nature of vaping? Menthol liquid seems to work best in my EGO with LR 510 attys. If I am LUCKY, I get maybe 5 days of good use before the atty fails.

With darker liquids like CCINO, I have noticed atty's failing in one or two days.

Am I going nuts here? Any help would be great. I like PS liquid too much to change, and my favorites are silver leaf menthol and CCINO... and I never had this issue when using CashCap or Riskee from PS.

Thanks for any help.

In my experience, attys and cartomizers do get gunked up quicker with darker juices. I have some maple tobacco and cappuccino from another vendor which are both quite dark and have noticed this phenomena with them. Like you, I also love the Silver Leaf menthol but I have no problems with it as it's a light colored liquid. I think the culprits are chocolate flavorings and heavy dark sweeteners.

I'm more aggressive with cleaning attys when using darker juices so they don't get a foothold, but I haven't had one fail because of it. I just accept the fact that my cartos will not last as long and junk them a little sooner.
