your carto should hold alot of liquid when using the condom fill method. You should also let ur cartos set for about 10 mins to let gravity to the job to pull it to the center wick...

There is a huge difference in cartos, carts, and dripping.

I used cartos for about a week. and RARELY ever use them after dripping. And yes, there is a different in vapor production between the 2, and is a BIG reason I drip. Just let ur carto set for a few and let it absorb into the center wick or you're going to keep dry burning the polyfill. Also sometimes if you're getting a burnt taste, then u didn't fill the carto up enough. Fill it til the top gets a nice wet look to it.

Patience. If it tastes burnt, especially on first fill, there's not enough juice. You are tasting the wire burning the dry filling. A new cartomizer can hold more juice than is in the condom. Try again. Fill should look juicy. If you have hard caps and can't see the filling, put individual drops on the battery end until the drops stop wicking in . . . Enjoy!

I am a dripper but decided to try LR Carts based on some really good info on ECF. I followed the instructions on filling using the condom method and gave it a try. I got very little vapor and after the first puff it started to taste like burning filler material. Is this normal? Is there less vapor in a cart than dripping?

I will never ever ever ever ever recommend LR 510 carto's untill they fix them.

Unless the design has changed the sleeve over the filament on the inside is not very heat resistant, at all. 3 out of 4 LR 510 atomizers that I buy ALL burn up that sleeve. Your inhaling whatever that crap is. I've only bought about 10 of them the entire time I have been vaping.. thinking I was doing something wrong or maybe I got a bad couple batches.

It doesn't matter how wet I get them, how long I let the juice soak in, or what kind of juice I use. They all melt the sleeve.

The last one I had I threw on an ego battery (which, granted, was already 4 months old) and when I activated it got REALLY hot really, really fast. Something inside it actually caught fire, and the battery died instantly. Was it just because it was an old old abused ego battery? Maybe... But I dont trust those lr carto's and I will never use them again, period.

If I can figure out which graveyard bucket they went into I'll rip it open and post some pictures for you guys.

Mine may have been a bit more charred, but this is pretty close.

I use carto's because when im out because I do not want to be dripping every 2 minutes. Having to keep it it *that* saturated to keep the thing wicking fast enough to avoid the burning is counter productive.

My first run with cartomizers was not good either.
I've been having good luck with my cartos now(actually my fav now), however; I tried the condom fill method multiple times on mine, and it never worked. I've since switched to this method. Put the bottom cap on (with the plug) and hold the carto at a 45 deg angle. Drip fluid in until it appears it won't absorb any more. Then put the other cap on, and give the cartridge a "thermometer shake". It will probably take 3-4 fill/shakes to get it full. Since using this method, my cartos work great.
