I am not enjoying these 510 manual batteries. It seems as if it doesnt let the atty get hot enough, thus not much vapor is produced. I am not new to vaping and this is not normal. My 401 totally blew this thing away and I know that shouldnt be the case. Anyone else have these batteries and experiencing this lacluster vapor production?? I am trying to figure out if its just me...

Not necessarily: my other half has just given away his Titan 510 gear now that manual batteries are available for the 401 (he needed some manual batteries since he's a DJ)

In our experiences, a quality 401 is a far better all-rounder than the 510.

Nevertheless, I haven't heard of a 7 second cut-off with any of the manual batteries.... that seems odd :confused:

Which 'brand' of 510 have you got?

It is supposed to be a Joye 510...

I never even got close to 7 seconds. About a 3 second drag gives me a great hit and vapor with 18mg. Are your batteries fully charged?

Yeah, I have charged them fully, 8 hours and still the same thing. I contacted my supplier and he said that he was unaware of this, and was glad I brought it to his attention. He did offer to replace with some that do not cut off, which I really appreciate...

Reading more and more stuff. i am wondering if I got the "new attys" that last longer but stay cooler and if they just arent compatible with the new 7 second cut off batteries. I am trying to troubleshoot this before sending stuff back and costing my supplier. Because I wouldn't mind the second cut off if I could get a good amount of vapor after a few seconds like you do. As it stands right now, I can inhale on this thing for the entire 7 seconds and sstill not get much vapor... So I am wondering if it is the battery or the atty? Both batteries act the same with both attys, so I doubt its a problematic part...

I am in the same boat as you. My batteries might last an hour if I am lucky. My boyfriend has the 401 and he has some serious vapor. At first we thought it might have been my juice ( I have menthol) but then he put it in his 401 and he blew me away. I am waiting for my new sideshow to get here and I am praying that it is better than the 510. I just dont know how much longer I can hang with this.

Do you also have a 7 second cut off with your manual batteries? (it starts blinking and cuts off after 7 seconds)??

So, after getting in my new atty and passthru and what not, I think I have figured out the issue. It was not the batteries as I originally thought. I think I just happened to get a few bum attys, which does happen and is no ones fault. The 7 second cut off is not even an issue now, because I am not hitting it with my new atty. I wanted to let everyone know not to worry about the batteries, because they are fine and I just had some bad luck with some attys. I am a vaping machine right now, and even hit it a few times with so much vapor it nearly choked me!

Just to clarify, your battery still has a 7-second cutoff, but it's not a problem now that you've got a decent atty, correct?

My innovapor manuals (purple led) have a 5-6 second cut off and then a 20 second period you can't use them if they do go over that limit so that was pretty bad until I found out that all I do is let go of the button for just a second and press it again and it starts the timer again so it was annoying at first but I'm used to it now...

I just got off the phone with Clay at Innovapor and he did confirm that ALL of their new 510 manual batteries have cutoffs. They can ask their manufacturer to change the cutoff time to any number of seconds, or no time limit. They chose to switch to timed batts so they wouldn't be sued by stupid people who get their skin burned by an overheated atomizer in their pocket. He said I could get one's with no cutoff, but I'ld have to buy at least 50! That's at a price of $580! Otherwise, there is NO WAY they can supply "no timer" atty's to me. LAME!

I don't like resetting the timer by letting off the button as I feel it is unnatural and takes much more breath (as you have to hold your breath for a full second to reset the timer). BTW I can use mine only 7 seconds after the cutoff is triggered, not 20 seconds. That would REALLY suck!

If anyone on here knows where to get 510 batts that have no cutoff PLEASE let me know. Also, do any other "super" batteries work with the 510 attys? Screwdriver?

Well good thing they don't sell analogs then, the danger of burns is even more with those.

I didn't order more batteries from them after I got the ones with the cutoff.

Nope, 20 seconds and they cut out, they work for near an hour hour and a half before an hour or so recharge. As for how many seconds I draw, I never thought of it until this thread, so it's between 10-15 seconds , nice slow draw. You get the feel for it in your throat after a while.

I shouldn't say it, but everything i have here is from more then a month ago, everything is still working as it did the day I opened it. Of course, now that I have gone and opened my mouth about it, things will surely take a turn to the south.

I think Cignot has them in stock, and Totally Wicked has "Mega" batts that last longer (they're a bit bigger).

My Chuck (pictured in my avatar) has a 510 connector (I have 901 and 801 adapters), and you can also get it in 901 or 801 (I think most people choose 510). Not sure about other battery mods, but there are adapters for the ones that default to 801 or other sizes.
