It depends on personal habits. I love my 510. I use atomizers and cartridges. I'm a girly-girl and like its petiteness, lol, and the fact that I could get it in a pretty coppery-gold color! I like that it's light, discreet, and I can keep a couple of batts and cartridges in a small clasp case. I mostly vape in the morning, after meals and in the evenings so two batts and two cartridges last me all day. I have 3 batts, 3 atomizers, and about 15 refillable cartridges.

I'm getting more into flavors and doing my own low-nic mixes instead of being interested in different hardware. To each his or her own! :)

I really wanted that too!! Just doesn't work for me cause I'm a vape-hound ( now THAT sounded feminine didn't it??!!). I probably could have mAde it work, but I'm obsessive and would have been (WAS) obsessing about changing batts around all day and making sure I always had lots of stash around! I was glad to bag it all up finally!

I'd go to Liberty Flights and get a Riva 510 carto starter kit which is in stock for $43 and if you click on the discount mark at the top of the home page it will give you a 20% off coupon code. Comes with everything you need except juice. After I had been using the Riva for a few months I bought a larger (more mah) battery which lasts longer but I don't like the way it feels in my hand so I don't use it much. This week I bought my first mod which is 5 V. I think the Riva will satisfy most newcomers and will allow you to be satisfied enough to wean yourself off the analogs. That took me about 3 months to finally say "yuck, I don't want any of these any more, at all, never again!" Don't kill yourself trying to go cold turkey or learning everything about e-cigs all at once. Read as much here on ECF as you can and good luck.

I can manage for the time being. I'm ordering the portable charger as well.
I imagine eventually I'll switch, but for now I'm.. trying to trick myself into believing it's a real cigarette I suppose. Trying to make the transition as easy as possible so I'm less likely to fall back on analogs.
I guess the problem for me stems from the fact that I want to quit smoking, but I don't want to quit nicotine - at least not yet. The closer something resembles actual smoking, the better off I am for now.

Reading that last part back sounds a little irrational, but then again, if I were completely rational, I wouldn't have started smoking in the first place...

I know EXACTLY what you mean! When I first started, I wanted cig sized. I went with the Vapor4Life kit. And for what it was, it was GREAT. It got me away from cigarettes, but having to recharge every 3 hours drove me CRAZY! Eventually I went to a Riva for the extra battery life, but found the vape to be less satisfying(3.4v) so I switched yet again. In the end I probably spent $500 going from one e-cig to another, only to finally end up with a Provari. It's a natural progression that almost all new vapers go through, and it's normal.

At first that cig style mod is necessary. I honestly believe it does somehow trick your brain. Once you get past the "getting the most cig-like experience with the least frustration" phase, you then move on to the "get the most enjoyment out of vaping" phase.

This is a great decision and will help with the 200mah battery. I went from 510 to Ego like everyone and their brother but it wasn't because of battery issues...was more just out of curiosity and I wound up liking it more when I decided I didn't care if it looked like an analog. With 2 510 batts and the charger, I was generally able to make it via swapping my battery out 2-3 times per day and rotating them in/out of the pcc. So if you're going 510 I highly recommend at least 2 batteries. (maybe even a spare 1 or 2 on top of that...they tend to get lost in pockets and are found in washing machines!)

I'm using Riva SE's, Is it better for me to drain them all the way down or recharge them more often ?

Most e-Cig batteries have a longer life span if you don't fully discharge them before charging.

The only battery type that I know of that should be fully drained before recharging is Ni-Cd batteries. But this type of battery is being phased out.
