510 passthru question

I have a 510 PT........It works just fine in my USB port BUT my computer is a desktop and located in another room and away from the family activity (TV, etc.).

My question is this: Can I buy one of those AC wall chargers that has a USB connection.........and just put it in an outlet in my family room and vape away like when I am at my computer?

Where would you buy one of those kind of chargers other than online?? Best buy maybe....?? Don't have a Walmart close......just a Meijer and a BestBuy and Radio Shack.

I know you computer geeks should be able to answer this question.

Yes you can.. Look for an AC USB adaptor that puts out 1 amp (1000 mA), rather than 500 mA.

Since your 510 passthough has a batt (still works when you unplug it right) what you are doing is basically charging the battery while you vape. Higher the amps of the charger, the less likely you are to run the batt dead.

You could also buy those battery packs used to power USB devices such as I-pods, with a USB plug on them. Simply charge it up, and you can the the PT anywhere.

One more question..........say I had 901 PT..........could I do the same thing with that even though it doesn't have a battery?

You could use the 901 PT off the plugin wall adapter also, but in that case the 1 A/1000 mA is even more important, as its "sucking" current straight from the adapter.

In the 510 case if you don't get enough power from whatever you have it pulled into, it will loose strength over time as the battery dies (assuming you are starting with a charged batt in the PT) because it is being drained at a greater rate than it can charge. For the 901, if the power from the adapter is not there, it will be a continuously bad vape.
