I just don't like the sucking through a straw sensation I'm getting from it. Am I expecting too much from it maybe? Please and thank you.

I have also found that I get too much air flow though some atomizer/battery/PT combinations. In those cases, I have found various ways of partially covering the area where the air enters the atomizer (where the batt and the atty screw together). This lets less air in and allows the volume of vapor to be increased and lets the coil of the atomizer get/stay warmer during an inhale. The air and juice cool the coil. You could experiment to see if it works for you.

Oh, and like the previous post about usb output of where your pass thru is plugged into. It does sorta' matter. The output of where my passthru is plugged into is 5 volt, 1000ma (or 1 amp). I have another one that has a battery that works well where ever I have it plugged into. That type might help to increase the 'heat' issue you're having.

Hi Camel522: Thanks for your reply. I guess I just never look at vapor vs. smoke in that way. When I use my batts, it's satisfying, but when I use the passthru, it's just not at all. I think I need a diff. passthru.

Hi FlyerTom: Yes, I looked at the iPod adapter, and it says Output: 5.0v 500mA on the back. 500 is a far cry from 5000, though. Is that what the problem is?

Hi sanfordf, so I guess I should see about getting another adapter then. I have lately put a lot of thought into getting something different. I like my 510s, but it's just takes so much fooling around with. I saw one made by a manufacturing co. here in the states. They have a nice unit called the Super-T Precise. But then, again, I saw something called a juicebox an ECF member started making. No fuss or muss, no juice on the hands, no constant recharging and just constantly fussing and fussing and fussing. I'm really getting a little discouraged on how much time this takes out of my day to be constantly fooling around with it. What about your tornado. Is it any better than the standard cignot 510? Please and thank you.

Yes, I believe it to be superior to any standard 510. It still uses the 510 atomizers/cartridges though. The amount of recharging hassle is reduced because the battery is bigger and lasts (at Least) about 8 - 12 hours of use. I always have one charged up and one in use.

The excessive amount of time spent on fiddling around with refilling cartridges is why I mentioned buying blank cartomizers and filling with juices that you find you like. The blank cartos hold far more fluid than the standard 510 cartridges. I have both the standard carts (holds about .33 ml of juice), the mega carts (holds about .6 ml of juice). Neither come close to the mega cartomizer capacity of about 1.3-1.5 ml. This is enough to last most of a day for many. My experience is that it lasts for about 6-8 hours. They are easier to refill as well. I pop off the rubber plug at the mouthpeice and just fill with more drops of juice until full (about 30-35 after the first filling). Before filling, replace the covering (some call it a condom) over the threaded end to keep the juice from leaking out. Fill, then replace the the mouthpeice plug. Then replace the cover for the mouthpeice side and let sit over night to let the juices fill the stuffing evenly. They eventually will burn out and will have to be replaced, more often than a standard atty, but that is the price of convenience.

The link again is: 510 Mega Cartomizers or Blank 510 Mega Cartomizers. I may have posted an incorrect link in my last post of this link, sorry about that. The discount code at Nhaler is saveinnj. You can get 10% off anything you buy there.

The Tornado is available here: Wicked-TORNADO E-NIC or Electronic Nicotine Imitation Cigarette-Red. . You can use discount code BFC81 for a 7.5% reduction on anythig you buy. Hope this helps. And you're welcome.

I was hoping to stop vaping also, but that's what I said about smoking too, and that kind of stretched on for years, so I may as well stop draggin my feet and just go ahead and buy a heartier pv and cartomizers. I was also trying to dig around here at ECF for review on the Carlos49 juicbox. LOL, I'll probably end up with them both. Thanks for the links and all your time. Now I finally know what a cartomizer is.

madvapes is good people with some good stuff!

Does that mean they have good customer service? My first passthru was DOA & Vicky @ cignots sent one to me the same day I E'd her -- before I even mailed it back to her. Is the C/S at Madvapes that good? I actually would like to also try some juice on their site that caught my eye.

Cignot and madvapes are two of my fave hardware suppliers - I get adapters, 901 atty, 5v PT and extras at madvapes and 510 atties, batts, carts and 3.7v PT at cignot. I get juices from both, and juices from about 3 others on a regular basis too (see my sig for a hint! lol) and haven't an issue with any of them CS-wise.

I just took my carto off my box mod and put on my passthru connected to my laptop, and couldn't notice any difference. It was neither warm nor cold.

OMG, your website is gorgeous! I'll have to think of a way I can use your little Ruby Throated Hummingbird somewhere in my house. Gotta get back to work first -- took a coupla years off to play. You should think about turning your albums into screen savers and making calendars. My fave -- the two Trumpeter Swans playing in the water. Of course, I like the Doe in Dame's Rocket also and the Pine Squirrel cooling off. Actually, it's hard to pick a favorite. :)

Yeah, I just spent an hour on the madvapes one looking at their mod tutorials. I know that's kinda a guy thing, but I'm going to start tinkering around w/some this summer. And I like madvapes' prices. Thx CaptJay.

Seabrook,

I love my 510 PT. I run it off a powered hub, because, like everybody else here, I'm not letting it near my motherboard. If I just pull on it like I do on a 510 battery or a mod, I get cold vape. The trick is to treat it like a pipe. I take four or five primer puffs, then start toking. I like to keep the atty just a little too hot to keep my finger on the casing. Right now I'm vaping an orange/peppermint mix. Warm smoke and ice-cold throat hit. Mmmmmm.

Hi TBL,

Thanks for the confirmation on the primer puffs. It took me a while , but i finally figured that out. There's that learning curve again. Everytime I think I get around it, something else pops back up. Heh heh, it's a fact that gum chewers look younger than non-gum chewers because of the specific muscles they use all the time. I wonder about us vapers. Sometimes those long pulls end up verrrrrrry long pulls.
