510 PCC help

Well I just got my PCC (or is PPC? that reminds me of the particle project cannons from battletech... God I'm such a nerd...but I digress) and to be honest something is bothering me.

The three little lights on it are;
Top Red= Battery chargering (should turn off when done charging)

Middle Red= "Insuffectient Power" aka "Oh crap!". Either a malfunction or just whatever your charging the PCC itself with doesn't pull enough juice. Unclear from little instruction thing if it's repair time or plug it in somewhere else.

Bottom Red=PCC charging Bottom Green=PCC fully charged.

So I charged it up, and it seemed to work (light turned green) but now it seems like the top light (batt charging) NEVER goes off. One batt was in there for like five hours, and it started blinking but never actually turned off. I took the batt out, put it on the wall charger and that said it was fully charged (green light) but I put it back in the PCC and it still says charging.

Anyone have a clue what's up? Is this normal? My main concerns are 1. It's over charging the batt, which can kill the life and if it's a crappy batt (lets face it. Made in China) can.... well make it explode or so I hear. And 2. Weather it's feeding juice or just the little red light is stuck 'on', it's gonna kill the lasting power of my PCC. Sure it's great to have it charging in my pocket, but does that really matter if the charger it's self will be dead next time I pull it out?

That top light is a nasty one ;-) People have reported it doesn't come on, yet the battery charges - sometimes when it doesn't come on the battery needs an "aerial assist" some padding on top and then like yours not going off. I've only had that happen when I was charging my 6th battery where it simply never finished. But you don't have to worry about explosions and overcharging because the battery has it's own cut off. (yeah, there could be a possiblity that both fail.). I'd 'plunge the battery in and out and see if the light comes on and off, then vape a battery you know has full charge for just a bit - so you won't have to wait an hour and throw it in the pcc and see what happens. IOW, it shouldn't take long to charge where the red light goes off.

That middle button - the instructs are a bit 'lost in translation'. I originally thought that one didn't have the right 'house currant' :) but that comes on when charging usually the last battery and shows that the unit itself is needing a charge. If you have had a battery that you charged fully where the top light went off and you keep it in the charger, the 'theory' is that if the charger itself 'needs charge' it will start drawing from the batt in the charger so the recommend is, that if you're carrying with a batt in, and the middle light comes on, take the batt out of the case. And ... recharge the PCC when you can.
