Hey Everyone,

I have looked on every thread possible and have a question for all the do it yourself folks out there. Basically I have a 510 PCC that is dead, the symptoms are that when charging the bottom red light will turn on and never turn green. As a result my 510 batteries do not charge, and is frustrating. My PCC is 2 months old, and i know I should be getting more life out of it. My regimine of charging my PCC is plug in as I need it, when fully charged I will use it until the bottom red light turns on and i will plug the PCC in until i see the green light. I figure with any electronic device it is better to drain it fully and then charge it fully for the most life, and i assume it is no different with the PCC. So my questions are this...am i taking the right approach to charging the PCC? Also I will need another one to replace it, but am hesitant to just buy another simply because i took it apart and there is a main battery inside wrapped in a foil wrapper marked -M9030
1300mAh 3.7v

So could i just buy this battery, replace it, and be good to go instead of dropping $20.00 + shipping on a new one? If it is possible where would I buy these batteries? Any info would help, Thanks! Photo0153.jpg

Check the modder's forum... maybe something like this could work?

DealExtreme: $4.38 1300mAh 3.7V Rechargeable Li-Ion Battery for HTC T3232/T3238/T4242

Edit: Just opened mine up to look... prolly not. But the above link is a good souce of Li-ons.

Then again, it looks like a custom built multi-cell. Cut the wrapper off and see what's underneath; it's probably multiple smaller (and common) Li-ion batteries connected together. I've been toying with replacing the batts in my 510 pcc lately, as it seems to not charge as well and take longer and longer to charge a 510 battery.

Or just shop around... new PCC's can be found for 20 bucks (or less). Or take a dry q-tip, and run it down the battery slot & give it a good wipe-out. Mine had a ton of shmutz in it... might have been an issue. If the contact was shorting out, the batteries in the PCC would drain as fast as you charged them.
