Bought a PCC for my 510 two weeks ago. Recently, its been having issues charging. Now before I write to the (wonderfully incredible) company that I purchased it from, I'd like to know if there is any trouble shooting I can do myself.

Some more details...
...When I plug in the PCC via USB, the red light comes on my PCC (just like it should). When I place a 510 battery in my PCC, sometimes the charging light comes on, but mostly it doesn't. Even when it *does* come on, it hasn't been completely charging the battery everytime. Like I said, its kinda funky. I used it Monday 3/29 no problem. Weekend of 3/27-3/28 it only charged one or two batteries before being dead. Charged it yesterday to go out last night...nothing.

Mine has been a little inconsistent as well. Not when being charged, only when charging the batt. It needs to be tapped or shaken sometimes for the connection to be made. I think it is an internal problem, as I have disassembled mine and I can't find any connections that are disconnected or loose.

You can open the case with a screwdriver and a bit of wiggling. Some have a rivet on one side and screw on the other, and some a screw on both. I have the one with a rivet, and it can be poked out so the case will open after removal of the first screw. From there you can inspect the connections and clean up any spills inside. The unit inside is separate to the case, so it can be removed carefully and inspected. Maybe you can see something obvious, like a loose connection. Failing that, I'd return it. However, if you have to pay to ship it back, it's almost as much (at least for me) to buy a new one. I live with the issue I have, as it just requires a bit of a shake sometimes to get it to work.

Hope that helps
