I have this 5 volt pass through from mad vapes which is connected to a 2amp 5v USB to AC adapter. Using the same atomizer, the vapor and heat dont even compare to my kens box mod with 2 14500s (which is a 3AA with a 5v regulator). Its not even in the same ballpark.

I dont have a voltage meter, but the site claims to be 5v.

Anyone else notice this or am i doing something wrong with this PT?

I didnt get my passthrough from madvapes, but I am using the same thing(2amp wall adapter) I checked it with a multimeter, and it is showing 4.97v, but it doesnt hit anywhere near as hard a any 5v mod I have tried. I dont have a reason why, but it just doesnt.

Maybe its an airflow issue. But even then, the atomizer gets much hotter with a mod than with the PT.

If the passthrough is at 4.97 volts loaded, and the mod is hitting hotter, then perhaps try testing the loaded voltage of the mod?

If the connectors are the same, and the atty is the same, and the cart is the same, and everything else matches, it should be identical...nothing I can think of other than the voltage of the mod is actually higher than advertised.
