510 Threading

Noob quetion I assume. I just noticed that the atties from my Yeti 510 do not fit in the e-power. The only difference i could see was that the e-power atties had more threads, if that is the right way to put it. Basically it would not screw all the way down. I thought 510 threading was 510 threading. I guess I am wrong here?

I also assume the cone is cosmetic only and it does not matter if it is on or off. If I am home, I dont care what my pv looks like

Not that it matters too much, but would I need some sort of 510-510 adapter to make this work. Really just curious as the atties from the e-power fit the yeti, just not the other way around. So once the ones that came with the Yeti go, I will be fine.

Don't know about the Yeti, but the E-Power is standard 510 connector, so far everything I've gotten 510 for mine has worked. And yes the cone is for looks only.

There is a short 510 extender the E-power and some other deep-throated mods and clones need to use some attys and cartos. Joye makes its own attys and cartos to fit their own models perfectly (i.e the real 510s and Egos).

Thanks everyone, as I stated it is not a big deal, was just surprised when I tried to twist in the attie from my Yet 510 into the e-power and it did not work. Not going to bother getting an adapter, but now I know a bit more about threading and adapters, and I am here to learn

I have never tried a Yeti but i was assuming it was the same thing. Yeah you are better off just buying standard 510s to use in the e power. I LOVE Dual coil cartomizers and LR boge cartomizers with the epower.

My guess, it's the e-power threads. QC issue I believe. I had the same problem with one of the 2 e-powers I have.

All 510 threaded stuff with work on the epowers..however, not all 510 threaded stuff has the threading cut correctly. I have some extensions that will work on one mod but not the other.

Not sure about that as the boge carto and obviously the atties that came with the epower fit just fine. You can see the atties that came with the Yeti 510 from altsmoke have a fewer number of threads.
