Yippee! The yeti is back! Rob, I am sooooooo happy to see the yeti back. I am STILL in love with it. I made a mod with it and it frickin' rocks. Now I can get parts and I can try the manual batteries and I can buy stuff from Rob. He really is a wonderful guy who goes to great lengths to get quality stuff and trade honestly and fairly. It's just when I fell in love with the yeti, I didn't really want anymore 901 stuff and Rob wasn't carrying the 510 stuff.

Ooooh, I can't wait. I gotta go consult the checkbook and see what I can get away with.

The yeti is my absolute fav. Black with blue led and manual switch:hubba::hubba::wub::wub:

Ok, the anticipation's killing me. What's the surprise? *sniff* (fine, should probably show tomorrow anyways.. :) )

On a more serious note..I like the 'stock status' link. Especially in today's 'uncertainty' with vendors popping in and out, customs, etc...I realize that's updated manually, but does your store software also track actual inventory, not necessarily numbers, but tags as out of stock when you reach 0 units? (if not...pls consider it..I've owned a web business before, and as inventory grows and you expand (hopefully, right? :) ), it becomes quite difficult/time consuming to update in/out of stock lists manually).

Last one - I don't think I saw a privacy statement on your site - I'm assuming that if I subscribe to your newslist, I will never, ever, be contacted by anyone other than you as a result of it? (In other words, customer contact info is never shared)?

Thanks..looking forward to receiving the order :)

Sorry :( I stopped wrapping them as of Sunday. :( But feel free to snag it still :p If you have any questions PM me :p

No worries man, I thought it was worth a shot to at least ask haha.

I do have a question but my PMs never go through on here for some reason. First I wanted to second the question in the ^above post^ regarding privacy. I am an fierce advocate of companies not whoring out my information, so such an issue is important to me when choosing potential companies to purchase from. [This is even more important because ecigs will eventually (no doubt by the hand of tobacco lobbyists) become controlled devices and I am not interested in governmental or regulatory agencies knowing what kind of 'drug' products I have purchased online.]

My real question is this: Can you assure me that this version of the Yeti that you are receiving is indeed the NEW and REDESIGNED model and not the old model that seems to be plagued with issues?

    Thanks for your help!

Yes, the software I use for my website has a inventory tracking on the back end. Most cart applications have this feature, but some it actually has to be enabled. I would NEVER sell any products I didn't have, sometimes I do run into a hickup and I manual modify products and that typically causes errors on my part :p Go Figure lol There has only been twice where I actually didn't have products in stock and typically it was due to returns that I forgot to subtract from my stock :p

Thanks for the feedback on the stock status page, now if my tracking numbers would just show up! =P And yes, your newsletter will only ever be used for my newsletters :p I will have to come up with a privacy page, thought it was already included. Just may have forgotten to link it? I'll check on this later tonight (sorry about that!)

Soon you should know what's in it :p

Ha! Well, I know I hate spam and I would never 'Sell' your email address or 'give' them intentionally to anyone else. I will look for my privacy page tonight, I can't believe I missed that. But I am glad that you guys brought it up.

As for your real question: I'll touch base on the issues of the old models and inform you how they were resolved.

Leaky Carts: The carts seemed to have been redesigned and maybe added a reservoir in the base of the mouth piece. All I know is, that I am not getting liquid in my mouth nearly as often as I use to. Infact, the only time i get the liquid in my mouth is if I overfill the cartridges or inhale really really long. The cartridges still 'leak' around the mouth piece/atomizer, but not no where near as often as they use to.

Malfunctioning Switches: The reason a lot of the switches use to get damaged was due to liquid potentially getting into the switches and causing them to stick/malfunction. This has been resolved with the manual batteries, now it is up to the user to push the button to activate the battery. Originally they used 'plastic' buttons but since upgraded to rubber (nice). Also they sealed off the battery from the atomizer with what looks to be silicon to better protect the unit from getting liquid into the switch.

Battery life: As far as the battery life of the unit...meh. I don't like batteries to begin with, but these seem to last about 2-4 hours. One hour if I am using it as a pacifier it. I prefer the manual usb passthrough that just came out for the 306/510. But than again I have the luxury of always being around a USB port and don't mind the 'tethered' feeling that some have described.

    I'll edit this later.

Thanks for the explanation RE: Privacy. I figured as much, but...had to make sure. I used to run several domains, and had a primary one with an email addy I had for nearly 8 years. I decided to 'simplify my life,' and let it go for a few years...so any mail bounced. Decided a few years later to re-register the domain, and was *still* getting spam to that account, which had been *bouncing* for the 3 year interval!

Got everything today, zero problems, am using the manual batt 510 right now, alternating with a VK-alike (never can remember, KRD80-something) that showed up today as well. Going to give the VK-alike (can never get the model right, KRD80-something :) ) a fair shake, and think it's great for simplicity running out somewhere, but the 510 beats it on consistency...the 510 is a definite keeper.

Will go sign up for the newsletter now, then. Thanks :)

Oh, PS - owned a web business for a few years. The cart/store software's improved, but yeah, some things aren't always obvious. I did a lot of phone sales, plus occasionally in person, and then would have to go back and adjust the websites inventory manually, each individual item at a time (versus a list of all items, and can edit all on a single page). NOT fun when you've got hundreds of items, but not bad if most sales are web based, or it's only a few items..
