I changed from a 901 to a 510 end cap. None of my 510 atomizers or cartomizers will screw down to completely meet the top on the end cap. It leaves about a 1/16” gap and I can see the holes that are in the atomizer. I tried to screw down the Phillips head screw in the cap but it didn’t make much difference. Is there any way to fix this? Thanks.

We are trying and sending out a new design that has a rubber O-ring under the center screw ( does yours have a brass washer under the screw ? if so this is the new design )
It will allow the center screw to be compressed under load to adjust for variations in attys

Interesting. Can we mod out our 'older style' 510 caps to accomplish the same result? I'd like to adjust mine as well - what would I need?

Thanks!

The O ring looks black but feels like brass (with a small probe). No give.
I did not take the screw out till I get the OK from you. Thanks.

I think so BUT you will need to be very careful ( I dont want you to have to return it for repair ! )

When we find out for sure if this fixes the issue I will make up an update kit to change it over to the new design ( Damn I did not beta test the 510 cap and see what happens ! ) :vapor:

That is a Delrin part , so you have the older design SC ! :(

So, it's removing the center screw that's the dangerous part, right? I guess I won't mess with mine until further notice...

On another note, the 510 cap is compatible with every brand of 510 carto I have over here, so that's good news. I've tested it with the SLB, Boge, and 'high resistance' cartos, and all work just fine. They do stick out quite a bit, but that doesn't seem to hamper their performance in any obvious way.
