My experience so far
Started vaping Sept 22 with a 510 kit. That kept me satified for 2 days. Fortunately there was a local Vape meet on day 3 and I picked up a 650 ego pass through, a lr egoT atty and some more juice. That kept me much more satisfied for about 7-10 days. Then the burnt taste and atty cleaning started. I dragged it out a few more days and went and bought another pass through (1000mla this time) and 4 more lr attys and of course more juice and tanks. That kept me happy till now. I'm starting to get tired of the egoT, when it's working well it's great, when it's not, well it sucks. I did buy some CE-2's and lr cartomisers that I have experimented with but imo the egoT has them beat. But if I have one more burnt ego inhale I'm going to puke lol so I'm really thinking it's time for something new. I had a friend with reo bottom feeders and I must say I'm impressed. I was just reading about Hogwart's mods they look very similiar to the reos. Of course being a new member of ECF I can't even reply to his forums without posting a number of times here in the New Member Forums :) So here it is my first post. I wonder if anyone will actually read it?

Hi! Welcome to ECF.
I think you can't go wrong with reo. I started with an ego too. Tried the tank too, i preferred boge carto than the tank atties. I've found my go-to pv; a provari with boge cartos & a reo grand with 306 LR atty. So I stopped buying "the latest hottest devices" and enjoying my vapor for now. But still, i have to clean my atty once in a while.

I have an eGo passthru, and I use smoktech 1.5 dual coil cartos. I just used up my first one after over a week, topping it off (important not to let it go dry or you will get that burned taste). Most people order them 5 at a time, and carry a spare in case it gets low. I get good TH and vapor, I've had no problems with it. Again, it's important to make sure they don't get dry, just add a few drops when it starts to not hit as good.

I know its a side question... but are the Ego-T attys that bad???? **Gulps** I have one now and I have to say I love it but Im hoping so bad it does not turn burnt etc any time soon as I only have one atty for the next 3 weeks =/...

Before spending a lot of money for a juice feeder, you might want to try using a standard atty with a drip tip. If you like the experience, flavor, TH, etc, but you find constantly dripping a hastle, then the juice feeder could be your best option.

You mention you tried CE2s and some LR cartos, but didn't specify what type of cartos or why you didn't like them. If they weren't popular filler types like the Boge or Smoketech, I'd recommend you give them a try as well. If they work for you, then the punched carto tanks are another thing to look at.

Hi Nergost,
I love the Ego-t (have both Type A, and Type B LR), and it's the PV that moved me beyond analogs. However, it requires regular 'fiddling' with the wick to make it perform well consistently. In all my atty's the problem is the wick. If it drops too low, the tank leaks everywhere. If I readjust the wick too high, not much vapor and a burn taste. I've tried making new wicks, following video instructions posted on ECF and Youtube, but mine have not performed as well as I like.

Since the company manufacturing Ego-T's doesn't support the product with replaceable wicks, I have decided it makes little sense for me to support their product, until their tank design improves. (The batts are wonderful!)

I love the idea of a tank, but I don't want 'fiddle' constantly. I've tried Smoktec Dual Core Carto's and Boge Carto's, because many folks here seem to love them. My juice tastes pretty good through a carto, but they still require topping off with more juice every 15 to 20 puffs (more 'fiddling'). They taste pretty good, but in comparison to a working tank, I don't particularly like cartos.

For the last week I've been using the 1.8ml XL Fluxomizers (new design of CE2) from Gotvapes.com, both the 2.4-2.6 ohm and 2.6-2.8. I modded each of them before using (remove all but middle seal at the top, and fluff the wick), and in my opinion, they are better than the Ego tank on either atty (Type A or B LR). The flavor of juice is astonishing, the vapor produced is orgasmic, and the 'hit' is powerful. (I need to lower my nic level with these.)

Did you mod your CE2's? If not, I would really like you to give it a try and see if you like them any better. Other than filling 2 or 3 Fluxos each morning, these things have been 'fiddle free' for me (just turn upside down to wet the wick), and are the best vaping experience I've had in 2 years of trying to make the switch from analogs.

Just a thought: I still have two unused Smoktec Dual Core 1.5-2.0 cartos. If you have 1 or 2 unused CE2's, I'll be glad to swap with you, if you'd like.

Good luck in your quest!

LOL before I bought my first PV I was shocked at the many times I saw this exact scenario. That's the main reason I went straight to a MOD. It has easily surpassed all my expectations and I am able to step it up a notch by buying different delivery systems- cartos, tanks, batts. The other reason I went high end- I was very serious about getting and staying off analogs and so far it's worked great. Next will be buying a Riva A's backup.
Good Luck.

Wow I'm amazed at all the replys! TY all!
I do like the egoT most the time. To be honest the fact that I'm down to mostly juices I don't like probably has a lot to do with me wanting a change. It's time to get some more juice :). To date I've been using 24-26 mg I think I'll try cutting it down on my next purchase. It's my belief that the juice has a lot to do with the performance of the EgoT. Unfortunately the juices that I like the most are also the ones that I think gunk up the attys. The juices I've used so far is Juicey clear from Vapour Solutions (Viecs) and JJ's from Vancity Vapes. I tried 5 flavours from JJ's, tbh I didn't like them, I really thought I was going to like cappuccino, but it turns out I don't. No offence to JJ. From Juicey Clear the only flavours I really enjoyed were the Timmys icecap and double double (these are quite dark and I suspect they are atty gunkers). A RL friend known on ecf as Pipeous gave me a number juices that I like but maybe not quite as much as the Timmys. I think most were from china, 3&5, Virginia, Tobbacco. Oh ya another juicey clear worth mentioning is Black cherry tobbacco (think Vicks cherry cough surup). It's good in small doses. At the vape meet Pipeous or maybe his friend let me try some Swisher Sweets juice, god it was good!! If anybody knows where to purchase please do tell! Pipeous also got me a 30ml bottle of Joke Smoke from Jugheads, it's quite bland and sweet but was an excellent price. I havent tried modding the ce-2's, didnt even know that was an option. I found they had very good flavour but not enough vapour to satisfy me. The cartomisers I tried pipeous gave me. I'm not sure what brand they are. they are long and silver. they are ok but a pain to fill, it feels like I either over fill them and get juice in my mouth or under fill them and they constantly need refilling. I'm jumping arounds a lot here but I have a tip for EgoT users, I doubt I'm the only one doing this or it's an original idea, but I use a small eye dropper to fill my tanks and just leave the cap on. I found the rubber caps will tear after a few uses and the plastic ones are hard to get on and off. Pipeous recently quit vaping, I'm so kicking myself in the ... I didn't run over there and buy his reos off him. He had them sold almost emediately.
I'm going to humm and haw a little while longer before I purchase a reo or one of Hogwarts mods. I have little trouble parting with my money :). It is a little expensive after adding batteries and a charger to the price. I've read that if I do go with a bottom feeder I should take care in battery decisions although I'm not really clear on what is recomended. I assume if the battery is the right size and labeled protected then it's a good choice? Anyways anybody with juice recomendations from the Vancouver BC area please speak up. And if anybody is selling their Reo, my arm is ready to be twisted.

Nergost congrats on 6 1/2 weeks and joining the forum. Welcome. :) I have an eGo-T and use the tanks and haven't had any problems yet! The atty works fine. I do blow it out every evening when I got to bed though and do run water through it every other day (I'm not really sure if this is a good idea or not?) and it is still going strong after only a week! HTH some.
