6 volt vape= no going back to 3.7- But...

Last week I bought a couple of Energizer 3 volt CR123 batteries to try out in my Silver Bullet before I made the decision to buy the rechargables. I just wanted to see if it was just hype or if there was really that bog a difference and to make a long story short... Yes there is a big difference for the better IMO in the amount of vapor, throat hit and flavor.

I decided to order up the rechargable set and they came in today. The batteries came in today and I got as recommended by Rob at alt smoke the Tenergy 3 volt 750MAH protected batteries. The 1st set just charged up and WOW!!! These are even better than the energizers and it packs such a wallop I cant believe it. Im wondering if I can even go back to 3.7 now cause I now almost feel spoiled.

Now the question I have in mind is about 5 volt vaping.... I hear 5 volt is the sweet spot and won't know for sure until I get my VP USB passthru in next week as I have yet to ever try 5 volt but seriously if its any better than 6 it's going to be amazing and I cant wait..

What are you your thoughts on this for people who have tried all 3?

BTW the only flavor I have tried so far is Caramel Mach by Diet Smokes and it's damn good! I also just got in a few more flavors from Liquid Xpress I'm looking forward to try as well as my favorite VT Grape Soda

Regards,
Derek

In your bushes, watching you undress
Your experiences will vary depending on atomizer choice and the juice you use.

When I first tried vaping on anything other than a regular e-cig, it was on the Jantystick. Good vapor, but the flavor and throat hit sucked. Later I found out it was because of the 801 atomizer (I later tried another PV with an 801 and decided it was too wimpy for me).

Then it was at 5v on the Prodigy. It was a magnificent set up and I loved it. Warm vapor, far richer flavor, and the vapor production was amazing to me.

Then I decided to get a Silver Bullet because I wanted to get a go at 6v, and my eyes were opened. Wide. Warmer vapor, intense flavor, and same great vapor production.

Now I am a collector of many devices. I thought for a while I would only do 6v vaping, but I soon learned to appreciate the finesse of 3.7 at the right times.

I only sleep about 4-6 hours a day, so I am up and awake a long time. This also means I am vaping a lot as well. I learned quickly that if I vaped at 6v ALLLLL day and night, my throat would get a bit sore. SO I began to use 3.7 early in the mornings and late at night, and it worked perfect for me.

Also, there are some juices that perform better with their flavor at different levels. Case in point: Dawn's Red Hots. AMAZING juice, but a bit over the top at 6v. When the cinnamon hits the back of my throat, it wants to react by closing up. At 3.7 however, it is perfect, and I lose no flavor.

JC Original is kinda weak at 3.7v, but when I go up to 6v it kicks in and really blasts me with that rich, full flavor of tobacco and sweetness.

5v is really the sweet spot for most juice. I've only found a few that I would rather go up or down in voltage on. 5v is warm (not hot) and the focus is on rich flavor. Throat hit is great too, only slightly less than at 6v. I still reach for my Prodigy at times as I rotate through the juices that seem to work best for me at 5v, so I think it is indispensable, but still do my routine of 3.7v for 1-2 hours in the AM, 10-12 hours of 6v, then finish off the night at 3.7 again.

Thats some good info thanks alot. I currently do not own any 5 volt devices just my SB, VP2 ,510 and a protege on order. I do however have the 5 volt VP USB passthru coming in next week which will be my 1st 5 volt device and I'm really looking forward to trying it out.

I gotta tell you vaping the VT grape soda at 6 volts is absolutlely DELICIOUS at times it feels as though carbonation is shooting out of the tip of my 510 cart. I just got in a bunch of flavors from Liquid Xpress Im anxoius to get vaping on too today.

I did the energizer route today...
2 suppliers shine at 6v.

Drew at nhaler with the hv juice wow OMFG.

And Dawn at DIYflavorshack.

WOW wish I had more mixing juice to cut with since the nic is umm VERY brutal at 6v over 12mg.

If you think 12 mg is brutal at 6v...try 34mg at 6v... All most killed me LOL8-o
