i'm using reo grand with the rm2@ 1.0 ohms = great flavor & great hit . But am i doing any damage.
If you are stacking batteries to get 6 volts, that is NOT recommended. Ask your question over on the Reos Mods Forum as to whether you are damaging your Reo by doing so.

Why don't you use an 18650 and build a lower ohm coil?

More important is the amount of amps being used.
6 amps is way beyond the ability of a little cr123 battery to deliver safely.

Their normal "pulse" rating is only 5 amps, normal "continuous" rating is just 3 amps.
how do i know how many amps are being used. My mind is getting twisted ===VOLTS === OHMS ==== WATTS and now AMPS

If you are new to mech mods and rebuildables (or missed this part in your education) I highly recommend you spend some time with Baditude (our resident battery expert) and visit his blogs. You are now 100% in control of your own safety (and others around you). Make sure you purchase an ohm reader and a voltmeter or DMM so you can measure your builds, check for shorts and measure the remaining charge on your batteries.

Baditudes Blogs. The blogs regarding mods and rebuildables are listed below.

BATTERIES

9. Battery Basics for Mods: IMR or Protected ICR?
* Another essential read to understand which batteries are safe to use in mechanical and regulated mods. Includes a frequently updated list of recommended safe-chemistry, high-drain batteries with their specifications.

11. Deeper Understanding of Mod Batteries Part 1
* For those who want to learn the differences between IMR, IMR/hybrid, and ICR batteries. What do those numbers and letters on batteries mean? What's an amp rating?

12. Deeper Understanding of Mod Batteries Part 2
* Protected vs unprotected batteries - what's the difference? Ohm's Law 101. What is an AW battery? What is an inline fuse? What is stacking batteries?

17. Purple Efest Batteries Not As Advertised
* A cautionary blog that reveals that the purple Efest batteries may not have the specifications advertised. Also includes a commentary on "continuous discharge ratings" vs "pulse discharge ratings" of battery specs.

OHM'S LAW

14. Ohm's Law for Dummies (Vapers)
* My attempt at explaining Ohm's Law in layman terms and how it relates to vaping.

16. Explain it to the Dumb Noob: Ohm's Law Calculations
* As simple as it is to use, some people have a tough time grasping the concept. Warning: Includes graphic photos of mod explosions.

This is what I'm thinking too the mechanic. Using a 18650 like the Samsung 25R rated at 20 amps, at 3.9 volts (an average voltage you'll be vaping at) and 0.4 ohms you get 38 watts and battery draw is 9.75A. That's a very safe setup.

Volts- Pretty self explanatory.
Ohms- Resistance, think of it as a force that's trying to slow down the current.
Amps- Current draw, a measurement of current without considering volts.
Watts- Total power, taking voltage into consideration.

The formula to determine watts was already given, if you have that and volts you can figure out amperage. The formula for volts, amps, and watts is V*A=W, if you flip that around W/V=A.
