Congrats Mr!!!! That's awesome! :)

Thanks! You guys at FSUSA were a big part of it. All fo the advice here and the wonderful liquid were invaluable. I remember my first couple of weeks you guys rushed an order out to me because I was running out of liquid and in a panic about having to buy a pack of analogs. Thanks to you guys I never bought that pack.

Way to go MrM. Congrats. :toast: What a nice gift you are giving yourself. I'm waiting for my 6 month anniversary. Hubby is buying me a mod but won't tell me which one. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it's an Infinity.

Congrats man! Although I still have a couple analogs a night, it's far less than the pack a day I had before. I actually went several nights analog free, but stress and whatnot from what's going on (possible cancer, sister having a baby, being an alcoholic, etc) are what's making it tough for me to quit completely. Eh, I figure 2-3 a day is far better than 20+ a day though. I always thought analogs would kill me too. It might be the case still, but at least I can go to my grave knowing I ceased giving money to those pri**'s who sell that poison.

between here and there
I recently read in the ecf forum that some people are addicted to the other chemicals in analogs. It is not just the nicotene. I found this very interesting as the switch from analogs for me was instant and complete and just over 4 months ago for me. I was a very heavy smoker I have a friend at work that is having problems and still craves analogs. I will look and see if I can find the link to where I was reading as they offer some suggestions as what to do.
:)

ps.....here is one link that I found, tho its not the one I originally read, it does offer good advise and other links to the subject. Hope this helps.

Congrats. I am also 60 days free after smoking for 40some years. While I've resisted analogs, and really enjoy vaping, I find myself occasionally (not every day, but now and then) wanting a smoke. These are brief moments, but real. I suspect it is this addiction to "other" chemicals at work. I only hope the desire disappears entirely in time. Already I find the smell of analogs distasteful. That's a good start.

Congrats to those that are completely off the analogs.

Don't feel bad if you are one of us who are not completely done yet- yeah, I am one too.
Between whatever the other junk in analogs is and whatever the reasons for some of us it is harder than for others. DOesn't mean impossible though, I am quite sure.

What I DO know is that even I now get 3 or 4 days out of a pack of analogs. Compared to 2 cartons a week just a few short months ago.
And I am doing it (nearly) pain-free! (Ok, my wallet hurts a little bit...but that is slowly improving too)
Very little withdrawal symptoms even when I go 5 or 6 hours vaping only compared to before when I couldn't make through a movie at the theater without going outside at least once.

The suggestion to maybe increase nic could be a good one but I worry about actually increasing my nic addiction: I use mostly 18mg and pretty much chain-vape anyway. Personally, I would rather smoke the occasional analog than get used to THAT much vaping with more nic.
I'll get off the analogs eventully too- I am hoping to be done by the New Year, but not promising anything.

Again, mucho congrats to those who are OFF the butts entirely. :)

Wow! Quite a milestone. Congratulations.
For those of you still having a few cigs at least you have cut way back and that has to help. I always try to look at the positive side of things in order to stay focused on my goal. So much of smoking is being addicted to the actual habit of lighting the cig, flicking the ashes, etc. Stay foucused and remember that cutting back on cigs is great!

Thanks all.

I am not sure this will help anyone, but I have been vaping right at 24 mg the whole way. When I craved an analog I used tobacco flavors and it did the trick. I am not sure about the other stuff in analogs that they say you can get addicted to, but this method helped me out. Either way even cutting down dramatically is a wonderful thing to do for yourself and your loved ones.

I owe FSUSA and MistressNomad for my quiting cigs. Mistress has or had a website link in the newbie area, she goes on to explain the addiction....long story short, when I crave a real cig, i reach for some snus. It works. I never dipped, or chewed, but in a pinch the snus really takes the edge off the craving.
And congratulations on your success...

Congrats to all of you! I am about 3 months analog free myself. I say "about" because I didn't note the exact date of my last cigarette. I started vaping in July and over the following weeks it replaced more and more of my analog smoking. One day I was out of cigs and just didn't bother to buy another pack.

Dekang made it possible, but FUSA made it fun!

Wow. It has been 60 days since my last analog. This is a huge deal for me. 16 years of over a pack a day to 0. I always kind of thought I would die with a cigarette in my hand.

I am celebrating by breaking in my reward. A Leo with FSUSA irish cream. Life is good and longer.

What a great feeling, isn't it? Normally, 45days to break a habit...you are there! I'm celebrating exactly one year this weekend....and doing so with my new Ali'i and some FSUSA juice.

Good for you MrMagma. I used tobacco products for some 55 years. Chain smoked industrial strength Salems when in the U.S. and whatever I could get everywhere else in the world. Sometimes supplemented cigs with Red Man, Copenhagen, Skoal and cheap stuff.

Started vaping six months ago and gave all that stuff away and never looked back.

congratulations to you and Dendrock, I am sneaking up on 3 months along with my wife. It is great to read all the success stories. I only wish I had found it two years earlier.
The support on ECF and here with FSUSA has made it easier for a lot of us.

But now I have to find counseling because I'm addicted to reading the forum.

Also are David and Pam going to offer financing any time soon? Just wondering because every time I log on someone is talking about another just to die for flavor.
