Titles really sums it up, I've been off analogs for 60 hours and my lungs feel dried out, tired and sore. I have a bit of a dry cough that leaves my with a wheeze. Is this to be expected? I was expecting to hack a bunch of muck out of my lungs but that hasn't happened yet, in fact I hacked up more muck when I was smoking.

Geeze! I think it will take a while before a cleanout of the lungs happens. It depends on how long you had been smoking.
I have been vaping now for almost a week. I've smoked for over 50 some years, a three packer for up until 8 years ago.
B4 vaping, a few day's ago, I was 1-1/2 pack a day, but not inhaling but only the residual maybe 10% left after the exhale of the smoke.

I found it easier to breath already. I don't cough as I try and sleep, and I can lie in bed on my side without fluid gurgle in my lungs.
The only thing I find weird, is my lips feel numb / or like salty tasting. I know once in a while I will draw heavily and some of the juice will get on my lips or in my mouth. I'm doing VG..regular tobacco flavor 24 mg /ml nicotine strength.
My breathing is still raspy, but I'm sure that will start to get better. I hope!!...
I am retired, and I am with coffee all day into until I retire to sleep for the night.

Lot's of luck...

So while I only went through a few days of pain or lung discomfort, I must address the moodiness. For me the moodiness came from the anxiety of not smoking. Smoking was my "self medication" and deep down I was terrified of not having that crutch. Kind of like climbing a wall without the harness and ropes, knowing that I'm going to lose my grip eventually. I had a full on anxiety attack over getting in the car with people who don't smoke for a road trip....so you can imagine the gut wrenching fear involved in not having cigarettes and trying to trust in an "unproven" system. The moodiness will subside over time. I think it just takes time to settle down and get comfortable with your new nicotine habbit.

A note on taste.... not only will your taste buds work better, your preferred tastes will continue to change over time. Not just food and beverages will be affected. Your choice in Nic juice will be affected as well, so keep that in mind. We also noticed here that our Nic juices change flavor as they "age." Most seem to deepen and become richer as they age. Haven't run into any yet that change for the worse.

I hope the discomfort passes for you all quickly. Hydrate and hang in there!

I just ordered some full VG nic and I'm hoping that helps with my problem. I was vaping with some 70/30 VG/PG which I thought would be nice enough to my throat but maybe I was wrong or maybe my throat just really doesn't like any PG.
If it works for me in a couple days, I will let you know.

Careful with that ... I get those symptoms from VG rather than PG. If you get worse using primarily VG, please try a blend higher in PG or a pure PG mix. You may be in the minority that I am, sensitive to VG rather than PG.
