Oh that was a great post. No kidding, I actually laughted....and you're probably right!

I admit it, it's not my style either, I prefer those skinny straight short stem types...the ones Dr Graybole use to make or Yellow Bow...like I tried to find when I smoked real pipes.

And now, I didn't see what you were looking for--but I won't get that padded elbowed jacket either...........well, unless I spot one at Kmart.

Thanks for the info about the E-pipe. I'm buying one based on that thread alone.

I think in time they'll roll out some pipes in my style and then I'll be on board with you. The reviews are really good, hope you enjoy it.

Wait! $80 on ebay is not that great of a deal.
You can get a brand new starter kit from Heaven-gifts for only $60!
Either way though, you'll love this thing. Day in day out frustrations with my super-mini almost drove me back to analogs. The DSE601 brought me firmly back into the fold. My love for this device is bordering on worship. They do have their quirks too, like all PV's. But I find the pipe to be far less hassle for far more vape. Dig around in the Model Specific discussion threads for...er, specifics:D. Quick tip: buy a spare bowl. The atty and battery compartment are one unit, so when your atty dies, so does the pipe. If you use them in rotation, it will even out the wear and prolong the life of each. You can't soak these babies to clean them, they are real wood.

BenJam...;

I noticed what you said about the price and being one piece--when the atty dies the whole pipe gets thrown away.

Yep, that's a problem but I've ordered it just the same. Heaven's Gift was my first choice...but I have an account with Amazon.com--they take it straight from my checking account. No problem filling out checks, mailing them, charge cards, paypal...CUSTOMS, stamps etc.

Maybe Heaven's Gift (and hopefully Johnson's Creek) will start listing on there.

I'm gonna stick with CIGNOT.com--but they don't carry 'everything'. I'd like a little chuck or that other thing that does the same thing.

Oh well.

The 601 is a great device. There are flaws in any device- I'd point to the glue in the cap socket getting loosened by small amounts of e-liquid seeping around, and I suspect that the juice is also to blame for small cracks.

I bought my pipe used on the board, and while one of the atomizer bowls was in perfect condition, the other had a large superficial crack (I knew this when I bought it, and got a great price due to this fact).

This thing is a vapor-producing BEAST. Huge clouds of mellow, cool vapor with mild aromas. I use it daily, largely replacing my use of the m401 while I'm at home.

Raenon; Thanks for the added information.

When I quit cigarettes that first time it was cold turkey--but I cheated...I picked up a cheap pipe and cherry blend and smoked nothing but that for ten years.

I feel myself being drawn back to the pipe (I didn't mean to quit my pipe--it just happened). So, now I'm getter prepared for it with an e-pipe.

Forget it, I've found two...Eastmall (won't accept personel checks). and Health Cabin.

Anyway...for anybody that gets here late;

I've got a couple of these DSE 901 laying around (automatic battery). Since I don't like automatic batteries (and I have three 'real' pipes laying around)...why don't I pull the stem out of a couple of the real pipes...bore out the bowl 'stem', and shove one of my 901s in there?

I mean, it's automatic like a real pipe, the battery could easily be gotten to, the atomizer to, of course the cartridge is only similar to that of a pipe stem.

Hmmm.......I still want a mini pipe........but this IS a real consideration. Maybe I'm onto something.

After all, despite really liking my old pipes--they're junk now that I don't use them. Same with my DSE 901--I don't use them at all since I got all those JOYE 510's.

I think I'll give it a shot.

This thread gives me some ideas. My boyfriend has gone to the e-cig also, though I picked him out some cuban cigar cartomizers because he misses his cigars since we quit smoking. He has been hunting for a pipe, problem is he doesn't want one that has him, essentially going back to smoking. So when we were browsing V4L's site, he asked me if they had a pipe with the same features as the e-cig. I hunted on the site and didn't find any. Now I am browsing the forum this morning and come across this thread. SO can I get opinions on these pipes and what some good sites are and price ranges? This way I have more information for him and how they work. Any information would be great! I'd hate to see him go to a real pipe.
