I've got some 900mAh tenergy cr123a batteries but they aren't enough to last me from the time I leave until I get home from work (about 12-13 hrs) in my Woodvil. Just wondering if anyone knows of some longer lasting ones or even something like a long lasting 5v. I use 4.5 ohm atties mostly and from my understanding a higher ohm is supposed to give longer battery life.

You can get much higher mAh (and the same intensity vape) by using your Woodvil with one IMR 18650 battery (e.g., from AtmosUSA, Ecigsupply, NHaler, ProVape*, etc.) and an LR atomizer (which you can get from almost everywhere).

* I am a snob when it comes to mod batteries. I would get the $12 1600 mAh AW IMR18650 battery (from ProVape as linked or from any other good supplier who carries it).

I assume you realize the obvious, very simple alternative: carry an extra pair of CR123As with you and swap them out as needed. Swap time: 15 seconds?

FYI: There is no such thing as a 5V battery. 5V mods take your two 3.0V CR123As and regulate them down to 5V. I don't think the Woodvil has such a regulator ... and I don't know if it would buy you much more vaping time.

I use the 5v Batts in my Reo's & Phidias sometimes they work pretty good, also I highly suggest the AW LiFePO4's 3.2v and using a pair of these combined with an Iken HV-510 Atty, it make for one helluva great vape, I run this set up on most all of my bottom feeder mods and it gives me what I need, also you can buy cheap plastic battery holders that hold 4 of these LiFePO4 Batts in them and they are very convenient for carrying batts so they don't get lost or damaged rolling around. The Iken HV-510 is the best dam HV Atty you will also find for your 6v set up, it is one smooth locomotive of a vapor machine this set up is.!

Actually, Don, there is a 4.8V battery from 5 Volt NIMH 600mAh Battery for The Meglodon
Thank you, cappadoc! That is how I am learning these days: shoot my mouth off and then have someone wiser correct me.

Although this 600 mAh battery doesn't help the OP (who wants more than 900 mAh), that is fascinating! And I see that it has been around for awhile. Upon searching for it on Google, I came across a year-old thread in the forum which must not be named (or linked) that discusses this battery (or the 400 mAh version of it). Not much talk about it here on ECF.*

* And why is that? 5V vaping used to be the rage. For example, why is the Prodigy V3 6V (when the first two versions were 5V regulated)? Is it the availability of LR and HV attys? [That is, adjust your desired watts by using LR on 3.7V or HV on 6V. Is this better from an electronics perspective than regulating the voltage?] Or is it the emergence of variable voltage? [That is, why be stuck with 3.7 or 5 or 6, when 4.3 or 5.2 gives you the perfect vape for a given atty and e-liquid.]

How safe is NiMN (Nickle Magnesium) chemistry? I know about LiMN (Lithium Magnesium).
