250+250=500 so 2x14250= 1x14500 in height.
The only difference is the positive poles. With 2x14250 in series (because of the pole hanging) there is about one millimeter more than the height of 14500.
The Li-ion 14250 3,7v, instead, are longer (about another mm) of the IFR14250 3v, because they have the protection circuit; the IFR do not need it because they are Lifepo4

I ordered the xtar wp2 charger for my aw14500's that will arrive about the same time as my mini. Can I order these IFR14250 batteries and charge them safely on this charger? It came with 1 spacer for each side, will extra spacers need to be bought to fit them?

As nearly as I can tell from looking online, the Xtar WP2 only charges 3.7 volt lithium ion batteries. The the IFR 14250 are LiFePO4 batteries and require a compatible charger for 3.0/3.2 volt batteries.

I discovered that too. So would a icr123 ultrafire charger work? Sorry, not good with batteries

There is another solution: make a small incision on the bottom of the Mini, so you can enter the IFR 15,270 (which are much better than the battery 14250)

Here's how I did:

Given that the difference in diameter between 14250 and 15270 is 1mm, it is sufficient a small excavation (with a dremel) of 0.3 mm on the door, and 0.7 mm on the bottom
Now my Mini has a new engine and at 6v is fantastic it is the smallest 6v machine that I have. (Of course, it cannot have the same autonomy of the Grand, but bringing 3 pairs of spare batt, costs me nothing)

PS The IFR 15270 have 300mAh, but they last quite a bit more than the 14250 (I would say that their autonomy is similar to the 15270 Li-ion 600mAh, because the lifepo4, as is known, have generally an higher capacity than the Li-Ion ..... I already tried to verify possible differences, given that in my Mini now enter also the 15250 li-ion 600mah, and, as I said, their life is very similar)

this is the best charger for these IMO I have 2 of them they do 3v & 3.7v and I don't need any spacers
