So Cal
I vape nothing but high VG juices. Vast majority are 80%, with a few that are 70%VG. I have some that don't pop or sizzle at all (not an issue with Vape Wild, Faded Vapes, Blue Label Elixer, and others).

Yet some of the 80%VG stuff I am sampling in my quest for a juice quiver of ADV's do the snap, crackle, pop, and sizzle. The spitting up the drip tip is annoying, and it doesn't really matter what atty I use, if the juice sizzles on my Atlantis; it does on my sub tank and my dripper as well. I've tried turning the wattage up and down and it really doesn't matter, the stuff still sizzles and spits.

Is there a cure, or something I should try or do differently?

Your suggestions and advice are welcome!

whats odd is I use the same juice in a few different atties and have found its not the juice but the wick/coil setup that causes the noise...

Hmmmm a new juice flav came in my vape mail today and it did this worse than any other flav I've tried. Might be except after cleaning the offending and offensive (LOL) flav out of the tank and adding a known good flav all is good again with same coil/wick and atty.

I get the exact thing you are talking about with bought juices. Since I started DIY, I have had no issues. I used to have that sound on another dripper but it was because my coil was to low and the juice was not letting the coil heat up quick. I think. Hope someone's suggestion here helps and I will be reading it so I can learn something also. Thanks for posting this.

I think it may be the flavor additives with other chems in them like alcohol based. I'm letting the offending liquid steep for a few weeks and will revisit it again, I also sat it out to breathe for about 6 hours sitting on top of my cable modem to aid and speed the steep process. Hopefully that does the trick as I was really hoping this Cherry Cola flav would be nice, but its too perfumy and chemical tasting OOB.

I'll report back later!

Leaving the lid off will also help get rid of some of the alcohol. Putting it in a ziplock bag and running it through a dryer load of clothes will also age it nicely (and mix well too). Since I have been DIY'ing, the Cherry Cola was the only juice I've made that went down the drain. Come to think about it. . . I haven't had a cherry since.

Which is precisely why I left the lid off! LOL!

I like the idea of the dryer, but wont the dryer melt the ziplock bag?

And yes I've red that cherry and lemon are tough flavs to get right... but as a cherry cola lover, I had to try this stuff. It was highly rated on the madvapes site.

It's just more proof that even though a juice is highly rated, it doesn't mean squat to an individuals palette!

Hopefully it will be better after spending time in my "dungeon of steepage"! If not, it'll get donated or tossed!

Speaking of donating, thanks to pbusardo I learned of a fantastic way to properly get rid of ejuice you don't like or want: https://vapeavet.org/

Nope, I just make sure the lid is on tight.

You got that right!

I've read that some vendors add small amounts of H2O to thin high % VG juice.
Also H2O is added to increase throat hit in reduced nic juice.
I think that the H2O adds the snap, crackle & pop, especially when used with fresh coils.

With the certain juices that do snap, crackle, and pop it makes no difference if it is an old or a new coil!
