2/28/2012: the date I lit my last analog. Not my last analog. My LAST analog. Do I sound overly positive? I've been vaping for around three hours and I'm already convinced that I won't be buying a pack of cigarettes tomorrow morning on my way to work?!? Yep, I'm calling it now!

Although I was advised by my vapementor to avoid the kiosk in the mall, I went there tonight seeking juice, as my PV came in the mail today, yet I had nothing to use in it. They had juice and it was on sale. $5 (and some cents) for a 10ml bottle of 16mg Mint flavor (no VG, just PG).

I excitedly and very carefully dripped about 15 or so drops into a boge cartomizer, then read a little on the forums to see if anyone has ever posted about their first vapes; what does it feel like? How long should I draw? Do I pull into my mouth, then into my lungs like a cigarette? Or just draw straight into my lungs? Did I put in enough drops? Not enough? Is there a wrong way? Is there a right way? Aaaahh!!! I've been reading on all of these topics the past 5 days non-stop, and when it finally came to vape-time, I couldn't remember a single thing!

It was as if I got stage fright, all of a sudden. I was scared to try it! It actually took me about a half an hour to work up the courage to push the button and put the drip tip to my lips. I think you all know what happened then.

I became a vaper. :vapor:

I waited a few minutes, and tried it again...even better.

My very first nephew was born earlier this afternoon. That will be my extra motivation when I am suffering the withdrawal symptoms from the other nasties in the analogs over the next few days. I want to keep this as my quit date!

My head is in clouds of vapor, but my feet are still on the ground and I know this isn't going to be all rainbows and unicorns as I get the analog nasty stuff out of my system. But, at this very moment, I'm so happy. Thank you all so much for having this invaluable information out there for freaks like me to pour over when second guessing every little thing. :)

Congrats! My main advice is to keep your batteries (safely) charged and make sure you have a supply of juice and clean cartos on hand. If you like the Boges, (as I do) then order another set and a 10ml bottle of something to keep on hand. Keep this in a drawer as a backup because it really sucks to have to use an old burnt tasting carto with some leftover juice you don't like, and then to run into a buddy who still smokes.

Try different things, like a tank or something, and try different juices on the recommendation of the folks on the boards here. Different cartos may work better with a different thickness of juice, so be sure to ask. The folks in chat seemed happy to offer advice to me when I went there, so drop in there and give your opinion of the stuff you have tried, they may have tips on keeping the vape going strong.

Good luck buddy!

I started thinking i would buy this kgo kit and a couple bottles of juice, now i have 8 tanks, 5 clearomisers, a crapload of cartomisers, a usb passthrough, about 35 bottles of various juices (none of which I thought I would be vaping in the beginning) and 3 wooden boxes to keep it all in. welcome to the world of vaping, good luck and stock up! :p

Great story. Welcome and prepare for your journey. lt only gets better. Wait until you're taste buds come back in a few weeks. Then, take a few breaths and remember what it was like to really fill your lungs. It was all rainbows and unicorns for me. It can be that way for you.
21 months ago, I quit a 35 year 2-3 PAD habit the very minute I took my first vape, and I wasn't even intending to.
So, it can be done and easier than you think.
My advice is if you smoked a pack or more a day, you might want some stronger juice. I started with 24, but I chain vaped for the first week or more. Had I been using anything weaker, I might have craved an analog and broken down. You might want something a little stronger for the mornings or other times you crave that analog. You can always dilute it later if you haven't found the need to use it full strength.
Good luck.
