A few weeks ago I ordered a new Pen Style (RN-4072) from ecigarettecigar.com. He shipped very fast and the price was right. Have been very very happy with it until this weekend ...

I was under the impression that the 801 and 4072 were the same thing and the parts were all interchangeable. I hope I was wrong about that.

Last week I ordered 801 attys from Parked's site (dietsmokes.com ... fast shipping and great price!) and noticed the atomizer bridges in the "801" attys are way higher than the attys that came with my 4072. No big deal, I thought. My last 4072 atty just died and I was happy to have replacements. That is until I started using the 801 attys. They don't seem to vape well at all no matter what I try.

I came to the forum today looking for a solution and I think I found it, but I am hoping someone "in the know" can confirm this (I've already covered the 'speculation' part ;) ).

I think the carts I have are just wrong for the 801 attys (I have a ton of blank carts that worked great with the 4072 attys).

- Will my problems be solved if I get some "true" 801 blank carts?
- Anyone know if the carts Parked has work better with the attys he sells than the 4072 carts I have?
- Will I be able to go back to vaping bliss with new carts for my new attys?
- Are the carts actually different for an 801 or am I making this up trying to find an excuse why my vaping experience has deteriorated?

Refuge--This issue is coming up more and more here for some reason--as the Cartridge for the 801 is slightly shorter and not as wide as that of the ones for the RN4072. You can order 801 type cartrridges from many places-- www.johnsoncreeksmokejuice.com sells them as well as www.eastamall.net which carries the rubber tip cartridges. So in theory the 801 and RN4072 are compabitable---but only to a certian extent---Sun

Thank you Sun :) that confirms

For a test, I used a razor to cut off about 1/4" of the cart and re stuffed with coffee filter. Seems to vape much better with the shorter cart.

I am talking (via email) with another supplier to see what type of carts he carries and if they are specifically for the 801 (high bridge) attys I will order a bunch from him.

Just glad to know there is a solution. Thanks again for the confirmation of different carts.

Just curious, do the 801 carts look like this or are they very different?

Refuge,

My solution to the 801 atomizer 4072 cartridge was to pull the fuzz out a little and snip a tiny v in the middle then put a pin hole in the cartridge under the mouth piece. Puffs like a Lionel steam engine.

I like the soft pull on the 801 high bridge atomizer. With NJoy/4072 I have to nearly suck my eardrums out.

I am noticing an issue myself! Maybe someone can clarify!

I have Penstlye Batteries and Attys from both Ruyandirect and BestEcig.

The ones I ordered from Ruyan were listed as 801 atomizers
And the ones from Bestecig were BE112's

I like the Attys from Bestecig, but Love the batteries from Ruyan (The non Mic type) But Ive noticed when I interchange batts and attys between the two companies I get some leakage around the atty/battery connection. I am a dripper, but I get this leakage even with a blown outt atty with as little as one drop!

What attys do I have, and what carts do I need for them?

thanks in advance,
safe travels!

RIA--BEST BE112 is in fact an 801 type in its own right--not a true 801 --but a the best on I have ever used IMO. Ruyan is another 801. There is and always will be a threading issue where the thread length is longer or shorter causing leaking issues and contact issues between the manufactures--so the cartridge ( so long as it fits) is not an issue in your case as you are dripping.

The cartridge issue comes into play when you are trying to interchange a RN4072 and an 801. The bridge on the 801 is higher as opposed to the bridge on the RN4072 which is arch shapped. The Cartridge that fits the 801 is slightly shorter then the RN4072------------Sun
