Hi, it seems that I can only post new threads here, I wonder if anybody could help me with this problem. My oldest 801 atomizer, over 3 months old, is now getting so hot that it's melting the ends of the cartridges. The batteries are working fine on my other 801's, so I don't think they are the problem, and changing cartridges or liquids makes no difference. As soon as you I start puffing it the burning starts. This is the atomizer I've been using the most, so I've really got good mileage out of it, I've just never heard of them getting hot before dying, always colder or harder to draw from.

Gavin--nice to see you got that long out of an atomizer--the reason it is getting so hot is that the mesh around the coil and the bridge as deteriorated and can no longer absorb e-liquid --hence it gets extremely hot--a rare instance when the coil actually outlives the mesh!!!---Sun
