I purchased 801 ats from MVS and the 801 Passthrough from them as well.

The Atomizers work with regular batteries, but not with the passthrough that they sold me or with the David Yang Passthrough.

According to other post that I have read, they are indeed RN4072's and not DSE801's as advertised!

I know that I am not the only person this has happened to.

I would like to return them, as I only use the Passthrough and they will not respond to my emails!

I am really getting tired of these companies that are happy to take you money, but do not want to deal with any issues! Not good business!

My apologies MyVaporStore the email went to my AOL Spam, I did recieve a response!!

Hi Ocean,

I Don't Know Exactly What You Did In Fact Purchase But This may Help U:

Please Check The Posts On the USB Pass Throughs Issues.

The USB Pass Through Is Most Likely Not Defective & Just Not Be Making Contact and Should be an Easy Fix & or To Check If Not Defective (it would have to be tested 1st).

Also You Should Designate Separate Atomizers With Use For Batteries Or USB, I don't Suggest To Mix & Match, That May Create The Problem You Are Having.

I Have Not Ordered From This Store Yet, I Have Read Several Positive Posts.

Just My Opinion.

Ocean--Cell is right here--it is a contact issue. The treading is somtimes will not allow the atomizer to make contact with the usb passthough center peg which is the + terminal. About 1 out of every 5 of my 801's will not work on a passthough---Sun

Hi Sun, you and I had a similar conversation about this. The DSE801 ats with the fat post work great with the passthrough, but not the RN4072 with the skinny post. They do not get the connection. I have 5 of these ats and not one will work on either passthrough.

Ocean--I am telling you to never buy an RN4072 again. The treading is too long, the burn to hot, waste e-liquid, and have a very short lifespan.

Like we spoke of, you can try with a tweezer to pull the center peg up buy prying under the hole in the atomizer, but I have only had minimal success in doing this---like maybe 3 times total out of many---so do what I did and throw in the towel on the RN4072--they are out of control and stick with the 801's----Sun

Ditto. As long as my atomizers were on tight, it seemed to work for me.

Hi,

We are truly sorry to hear about the trouble you're having ... but

The only email in which we received from you was dated Tue, April 7, 2009 10:12 pm. (Last night) Which I did respond to this morning. Did you get this email?

I have included the return/exchange info and address.

The longest we've ever taken to reply to an email is 18 hours but the avg. is about 2 hours. I'm sure other customers can attest to this.

We also respond to PM's, a bit slower but we do.

All of our 801's are stamped SLB and they are all from one manufacturer so I'm 100% certain they are 801's as advertised and not RN's.

Regards,

Hi aasupplyny--Could you please tell us where the SLB stamp is located on the atomizer? I have seen that on Batteries, but of the many atomizers I have taken apart, I can find no markings. So a heads up on where yours is would be appreciated---Thanks--Sun

Hi Sun,

The stamp on the atomizers are located in the same place they are located in for the batteries.

I took a pic of a 901 atty if that helps.

I have had success with taking a very small pair of needle nosed pliers and grabbing the nipple of the atomizer and either turning a quarter or half turn or giving it a slight tug. But it does help to keep the same atomizer with the USB. I have both 801 and 4072. This technique works on both.

Becareful doing this though, theres a chance you make disconnect the wire behind the nipple.

Sun- the stamp for the 901 and 801 is in the same spot.
I'll post a pic tomorrow.

As I have stated in another post, the 901 ats work great with the 901 usb passthrough. The 801 ats from MVS have a different post that do not connect with the usb passthrough.

The 801 ats that I get from David Yang work perfectly with the 801 usb passthrough from MVS and they have the same type post as the 901 ats.

I did receive the e-mail this morning, I just checked and it was sent to my aol account, so, I apologize for that!!

Thank you for the e-mail reply and I will send them back to you as they do not work with the passthrough.

Thanks Idahojo for the suggestion.
I will not fidget with these atomizers to try and get them to work. In my opinion, they either work or they don't. I appreciate the suggestion, but it really takes the pleasure away from the experience.

Just An FYI:

The Very Common Center Posts Electrical Contact Issues:

- I Find That All The Center Post's On The Batts & Atoms (All Brands I Several I Have Tried of My Dozens) All Move In or Out A Bit.

- The Center Electrical Contact Post Is Surrounded / Isolated With A Silicone Type Washer To Prevent It From Shorting Out, So Be Carefully Not To Pull or Damage It.

- The Center Post Can Be Pulled Out Very Carefully & Slowly (Needle Nose Pliers or Good Tweezers), Just A Hair is All Thats Needed (anymore & good bye).

- They Also Can Lose Contact Again and Can Be Pulled Out Again.

- If You Pull To Hard or Incorrectly You Will Pull It Apart..

- It is Wise To Designate Your Atomizers For Either Use of The Battery Or The USB Pass Through. Try To Mark Them, Even Putting A Small Scratch On The Band or Elseware Will help Since Even The Permanent Markers & Most Paints Don't Hold up Long. But Do Not Mix Them Up.

- When You Have It Working, Don't Mess With It and Don't Change Its Designation.

- Its A Fact That The Center Posts On The Batteries & Atoms Will Differ Slightly, But In General Will Work, Sometimes a Tweak Is Needed.

Again This Effects Most All Of The Dozens of Atoms & Batts I Have, So Until There Is A Design Change (which I doubt will happen, next generation will be next) Thats How It Is With All Of Them.

I Don't Believe This Is A Defect or Can Clearly Be Called A Defect At All, Its Common In Factories For Tolerances, Out Sourced Parts To Differ A Bit as Well As Factory QT.

Hope That Helps.
