801 Battery questions

I did not get any instructions with my 801. From reading the forums here, it looks like 4-5 blinks means I took too long of a drag, and 12 blinks means the battery needs charged.
Since I didn't know that earlier, I have probably been charging the batteries more than I need to. Is that OK???
Also, how do you know when the battery is fully charged? I have left a battery charging overnight, and I still don't see anything to show me if it's charged. Is it OK to leave the battery on the charger for longer than it needs to be there? I have 2 batteries. I'm always using one, and have the other on the charger.

The manual for mine says 20 blinks means dead battery but I think it's really more like 12. The battery is charged when the light on the charger turns green. It's OK to leave it on charge after that. Nothing will happen but it does stop charging after the light turns green.
