I just started using 801 attys on my SB at 3.7. I get very little vapor when dripping, thought it was just breaking in(normal). Then I decided to try it with a filled cart. It was a stock poly filled cart. TONS of vapor and still great taste. WTF? So then I took the filled cart out and tried dripping again, 4 drops right on the bridge. Still very little vapor:confused: I made sure to let the juice soak in for a couple minutes too. Not sure what's up, as this is my first 801. It maybe has 30-45 minutes of use on it. I've been dripping with the 510 and it puts out lots of vapor. Any ideas? Thanks.

it happened the same to me when i tried to drip using a BE112 atty (penstyle atty same of 801).
Little vapor on my janty stick 3.7V.
Using a cart with the same atty it works great.
Don't know exactly what's the problem but i think some kind of penstyle atties work better for dripping, others for cart.
which brand is your 801 atty?
i find that janty classic atties works great for dripping in a 3.7 device.

The 510 should give you more vapor with a 3.7 volt battery.
It's resistance is lower.
Chances are your 801 is 3.5~3.8 ohms so you are not going to get much out of it if the voltage and the ohms value are more or less equal.

It does not make sense that the cart with filler in the 801 gave you lot's of vapor and the dripping did not.
Maybe it's your dripping juice that is no good?

On a new 801 atty i normally pour 10~15 drops in it the first time, then blow it out, then place another 4 drops in it before starting to vape.

A good 801 atty does not need breaking in. That is a myth to excuse the 801's that under perform.

I drip with my 801 on a 510 passthrough with an adapter. I've found that 4 drops is to much, then it takes a bit to burn off the excess before I get any real vapor. (sometimes as many as a dozen puffs, all with little to no vapor but an insane throat hit. Makes me cough every time.)

Try using 2 or 3 drops, (I know,.. not much of a difference, but worth a shot.) I'm also not picky about the drops hitting the bridge, I just drip 3 drops down the pipe somewhere arround the center.

I've had realy good results, best flavor transfer, decent throat hit, and no burnt cart taste. (O.K. I'll admit it, I don't have any carts for my 801. Exptected there to be a blank in the atty when I bought it, and haven't got arround to ordering any.)

4 drops is too much?
i put 8 drops into janty classic 304 atties and it vape like hell for about 16/20 puffs, no leaks, great taste.
