801 wires

I posted this question in the battery mod thread, then I looked around in there and it doesn't look like there's too much activity going on, so I'm going to repost here b/c I need an answer to my question before I can continue on my 'project'.

If anybody wants to delete that other thread, please do.

I'm working on my first mod, and wanted to use the threads from an 801 battery. When I took it apart, I expected to find two wires inside, but there were three.

Could somebody tell me what that third wire is for?

I've been into a bunch of 801 atomizers and they only have two wires. My guess is yours has a birth defect.

Edit: Oops, never mind. I misread your post. I don't know squat about 801 batteries. Sorry

There still should only be 2 wires on the battery connector. Others connect the battery, LED, switch, to the connector, POS and NEG.
