I just got my Nebula in the mail today and it works great with the supplied cartomizer. However, I have some other KR808's from Vapor4Life along with some cartomizers from Vapor4Life. The only cartomizer that works on my Nebula from Vapornine is the ones it came with. Can anyone else confirm the use of cartomizers from different manufacturers on their Nebula battery?

In my experience... and this was 2 years ago... my V4L cartos didn't work on anything well except my V4L batts...

In theory they should work... perhaps their are some proprietary modifications that make this equipment behave this way...

In any case... I am sure the Kr808 users can give you some valuable advice on how to make these things more interchangeable...

I am not familiar with vapornine, but I doubt they ripped you off. Like V4L they have been around a long time and haven't survived by ripping folks off etc -

edit* come to think of it... if I recall, there was something about the way certain "holes" lined up on my batt/cartos that were the root of this problem for me...
I could never get a 901 atty to work well either - this frustration is what eventually got me to quit kr808's...

Damn, so maybe I should rename this thread to....Was I ripped off by V4L. The Boge's and Kangers I have coming in the mail better work with my V4L batteries or I'll be ....... Proprietary .... is for the birds.
perhaps you should simply rename this thread:

From what I can see you've gotten a good amount of information the past few days and sometimes it is confusing. The connection type of the cartomizer and mod need to be the same. Sounds like you have 2 different connection types and 2 different suppliers who you've ordered from.

It looks like you're a little frustrated, if you felt that maybe you posted prematurely, as I don't think that either supplier has ripped you off. You can click on the little triangle in the lower left corner of your original post and ask that a mod delete it until you can sort through this.

hth! ;)

Yes, I have received some great information over the past few days and I was a little premature naming this thread but I can assure you that the Nebula battery uses the same exact KR808 connections as my V4L Diamond King and Titan batteries. I am trying to use the V4L 808 cartomizers on the Nebula KR808 battery.

Fixed the issue: The contact post was recessed to far down in the Nebula. I used a paper click to pull that post up a little bit and now the V4L cartomizers work on it. Now the only problem I have is the VaporNine cartomizers can't be screwed all the way down but at this point I don't mind considering most of my cartomizers are from V4L.

they don't necessarily have to be screwed all the way down. the carto is needs to make contact with the batt...i have a battery with some cartos that don't fit snugly but it works fine (i just have to screw the carto back down after it rolls around in my pocket a bit) but after that carto is dead i'll golden again :)

I have tried very lightly screwing the battery onto it's charger just enough to make the light change colors. Even after doing this, I still need to adjust it. I just contacted Vapor Nine so hopefully they replace it.
