So Cali
Just got my chuck today with my adapter set. I have been using V4L KR808 stuff, but have been interested in trying 510 attys and/or cartos. So I got it set up for a 510 since it seemed that that's what most people have. I also got the adapters for 901 and 808.

ANYways, I screwed in the adapter and then put on a V4L prem CoolCart. It's just...not working! I mean, it works but I have to suck really hard to get barely any vapor.

I plan on getting some 510 cartos and stuff, but was hoping I could still use my old stuff as well, since I have so much of it! I tried a few different cartos and both had the same result. I am using the 18650 for 3.7 vaping action. I tried the two CR### for 6V and the carto got really, really hot. I have never had the CoolCarts get hot at all (just a little warm), even chain-vaping on a 5V PT.

Anyone use the chuck with the adapters and cartos with success? Any ideas/ suggestions on what I might be doing wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Of course, as soon as I clicked POST...I had an epiphany. The adapter was too tight. I got it working a bit better, but to be honest, it isn't much different from vaping off of a XL V4L battery, just a bit longer and a lot fatter...lol I still have to take longer drags, the vapor isn't really what I expected, and no difference in throat hit. Did I hype myself up too much or is there still room for improvement here?

I cant tell much difference either vaping cartos on the Chuck as opposed to a good 3.7 mod but,

What I do use on the Chuck is the LR 510 attys. They do shine at 3.7v and the 18650 battery will last for 2 days for me..

I find the best vape for me is using 6v and using HV 510 attys.
yum yum.. good..

Yeah, after messing with it for a day, I still can't get it right. There's not nearly enough airflow. If the carto is too tight on the adapter, it doesn't work. If the adapter is too tight on the chuck, it doesn't work. I have to have it so loose (the adapter and the carto) that it wiggles around, and moves often. I really wanted to love my chuck, but I still have so much 808 stuff that I might have to sell this one and try a different mod.

Alright, got MOST of the clear stuff out with my trusty craftsman pick...I think it was hot glue or silicone! The chuck is finally vaping more like I expected! I don't have to look like a fish when I vape on it anymore. LOL Jeff, you might want to check out the adapters that you have in stock, because that ring will really frustrate some people! Thanks for everyone's help, because you ultimately lead to making me a happy chucker.........oh that doesn't sound right...thanks anyways ;)

edited to add: Vaping at 6V with proper airflow is amazing!

ok....so I got the 'lil chuck connector to work with 808D cartomizers as that is the only thing I have used....i.e. no adapter....using 18360 batts from Madvapes which work great....a little more vapor than my 808 XL batts using Turbo or Mega Cartos, haven't tried any premiums V4L yet.....

there is no well on the connector end, mine kind of sticks up a little and the carto screws down onto it....

QUESTION:.....is the hole in the connector sealed?, can I drip into the carto, and if it leaks, how do you all clean the connector

also, I ordered aluminum and delrin shorty drip tips from Super T to use as a mouthpiece and they fit great!!! I was having burning lip and palate issues (sensitive mucus membranes I guess) Thanks to Poiea for that good info, by the way!!
