Premium cartos + adapter = fail?

I have several mods that I use V4L cartos on and I've never had an issue by using the little chrome adapter from altsmoke to go from a 510 battery connection to a kr808 carto.
These same adapters no longer work with the premium cartos.. they will not screw all the way down on the adapter. Anyone else experiencing this or have adapters that DO work?

I won't have any premium cartos to try on my 510 until Thursday probably...just placed my order. I can update you if no one gets back to you on this.

Well, I just took a big drag off a premium 555 loaded onto a Tornado (Janty eGo) with an adaptor from goodprophets. No issues at all here. Also works just dandy on my Smilin Special and RY4 premium cartos, so I think all the variations are represented here.

You say it's not screwing all the way down, is it possibly a thread problem? Do you have a VK battery to test it on? I have had the occasional carto that had something in the threads that made them not want to screw on, but if that's the case it can easily be muscled into submission.

By the by, are you using HV mods? If so, how do you like the cartos on them?

I got an adapter from cigtech that works great I got one from Mad Vapes that works but I can't draw anything with it. It looks exactly the same and I even opened up the air passage. It's the weirdest thing and I can't figure it out.

I have found a few of the premium cartos that wouldn't screw all the way down on my adapters. I worked one of them it until it did screw all the way down and it worked just fine.

I'm thinking about buying a die and re-running the threads on my adapter to see if it helps.

Wow, now I'm worried. Just ordered a chuck and from what I hear premium carts will eventually replace the old ones. I hope this isn't a permanent thing.

Yes the cartos in question work fine on one particular mod which has a totally different adapter, I think its a 901 or 801 to kr808.. but my other two mods are both 510 and I use the adapter from altsmoke that has two tiny holes in it and the premiums I tried won't screw all the way down onto the adapter. I will try some more of the premiums to see if it's just a weird thing with a few of them.

I love using my mods especially with these new premium cartos. I used to burn up the regular cartos at 5v so I would use the 3.7v configuration but with the premiums I am loving them at 5v and not burning them up. The extra battery life is definitely worth it for me.

I will check into the adapters mentioned here that seem to work. Thanks for the help!

One other thing.. I do have a 510 to kr808 adapter but it doesn't have any airholes punched in it. The cartos WILL screw down on that one but it doesn't vape due to the airhole issue.

5card..one of the ones I got from madvapes...the center post in the adapter had to be finagled or shimmied toward the 510 end for it to make propper contact..screwing the carto onto it super tight and then putting it on the battery should position it correctly..or you can just tap on it a bit with something small to get it to shift..
