Just a note that might be helpful to users new to the 808 cartos. It might be tempting to fill, fill and fill some more liquid when starting on the filling process, but doing so will kill your atty. I killed one today. I did dissect it and was amazed at how much filler is jammed in there. It's really incredible actually. The tube you see in the center of the cart is actually wicking material for the wire, which in essence is the "atomizer" as best I can tell. Pretty simple, but so effective. Lesson learned.

I figured there would be a learning curve with the carto's, so I ordered 5 pre-filled, and 10 blanks, just in case I kill a few.

I hope to master it before I need to re-order.

This is very good to know. Its quite tempting to see how many drops I can actually fit down there, or get as close to 20 as possible. I'll be sure to be extra careful when refilling.

FYI overfilling WILL NOT (99%) be the cause of the atties death, vaping dry is the true killer of any atty.....

What happens to cartos when you overfill? you get poor vape production, liquid in the mouth, drips into the battery(if not a sealed battery)... that should be it.

if you over-fill you can find some way of extraction, i.e. syringe,blowing out batt end to paper towel... or simply keep taking drags until vape builds to norm.

around 20 drops is the norm... but the true count is the number of drops that equals NO more than 1ml TOTAL

so if you top off prior to dry carto you should be getting less drops in compared to an empty.

Thanks for the info. It is possible I was premature in my decision to label the carto dead. I had vaped on it for a couple of hours with little to no vapor. At that point I got frustrated and decided it was a goner. I was at work unfortunately and it was the only carto I had, so was a rough day. Anyway, don't overfill as it will lead to very frustrating results.

When I pulled the filler out it was saturated, so I know I had put probably more than 1 ml in. Good rule of thumb to go by, thank you for that.

The Taryn method of refill works really good for me. You can refill with 30+ drops with this method. It's spinning the carto in a circular motion, with batt. end faceing outward. I put cartos in finger of a glove, with batt end toward finger tips, and spin above my head for 30 secs. Don't forget to put condoms on both ends. Can get another 10 drops in after the spin, and carto last longer.

Yes that is correct. I used one of those little plastic pill pouches I had from the Pharmacy....the kind that you can zip lock.......put the .... plug on the cart, put 20 drops in, put both condoms on, attached my husband's lanyard from work with the clip for his name tag and twirl it for maybe a minute or so...........then take everything off of it except for the .... plug and fill it with 10 to 20 drops more (depending on how much it holds ...do not let it pool alot). I can always fit 10 more drops in.......20 is debateable depending on how much was left in the cart when I started.........and then I repeat the whole process.....condoms on..twirl for about a minute, maybe 30 second...I usually do it till my arm feels tired, and wahlaaaaaaaa....completely filled cart. I love these things...way better than a normal ecig cart.

Nice info. I used the thermometer method, with plug intact. I'm guessing I got greedy, because when I pulled the filler out, it was saturated beyond belief. Probably 40+ drops in there. Anyway, I like your glove idea alot and will try that without using as much liquid.

Yeah, the best thing is to start small, and increase from there.

As long as you shake, rattle and roll...well at least shake,
and you see white dry filler material, you can add a drop and see where
you are at. Shake again, and add more if needed.

around the 10 drop mark, you may need to shake,.
Depends on how far you empty the cart.

Just got my 808, and did not really like the mouth piece, felt like I'm sucking on a giant straw. I generally used a 401 and a 510 with a whistle tip. Went scrounging threw my sons old vx2 stuff that died on him, and discovered the whistle tips will fit perectly. Makes it real easy to fill too. I popped off the end cap, replace the little rubber washer and push the tip in and it fits perfectly and I don't get any liquid in my mouth. Just take the tip off and drip thru the hole in the washer. Using an adapter that I also got from Good Prophets for my 510 pt, and it works great!! Seems like I can vape forever before refilling, lol! Shipping and service is awsome!!

Just take the tip off and drip thru the hole in the washer.

As long it has been working for you, thats' great news!!
Just make sure that you dont get liquid in the center yube, it will flood it out, to make for a not so fun journey on that carto.
