808 V2 EX Blanks taste way better than my 510 toppers. Why?

Ok, so you guys got me addicted to vaping as a hobby. These days, I tinker with coils and wait for vape mail. One of my latest additions to the collection is my first carto-tank, a lovely 5ml hand blown borosilicate glass piece from vapor-mania.com. Before that, it was the iClear 16s (dual coil) that came with my iTaste v3. To my disappointment, no matter how much I adjust the voltage/wattage (according to safety chart), the damn 808 clearos deliver a MUCH fuller taste than the iClears OR the carto-tank (which deliver pretty much equal flavor). What up with that?

Should I trim the wicks on the iClears? Remove one of the coils? Is it OK to remove a coil from a DCC? They only read 2.2ohm as it is. Maybe I need higher resistance? I don't know, but I DO know my next step will be an RDA. In the meantime, how the hell am I getting all this flavor and vapor from the 808s and any tank I put on the iTaste tastes like I'm sucking flavor through a thick filter?

Mz, I can see both of your posts. :)

I personally do not like Dual Coils on anything, esp. if using an ego or ego-like batt like the iTaste. Single coils just give a better vape IMHO. I have never used iclears (30s or 16s) for that reason, so I am no help as to how to "tweak"one of those clearos.

You are probably used to using single coils with the 808 clearos?

When I first ordered juice, that's exactly what I was doing- refilling the pre-filled V2 cartos. I just tried doing that again with a 3ml sample I received, and it didn't turn out so well. I let it sit for a few hours after I refilled it, but even now- a week later- I can barely taste the juice through the thing. It wasn't burnt out or anything. And was quality juice. So.. Idk. I do like my V2 batteries still, and use them daily along with the iTaste v3. Easier to keep flavors going. Thanks for the replies :)

LOL, I actually think the best vape I get is from V2 prefilled-and-then-refilled cartomizers. Other options produce more volume, but those always taste good to me. Go figure.

Yes, a single BCC is near the top of my list of things I want to try next! I don't see why I couldn't just take one of the coils out for the time being, on the i16. Since the v3 has ohm reader and safety features built in, I guess it wouldn't hurt to test it.
