I too had morning cravings for an analog and gave in to them a couple times.

I didn't like where that was heading so I ordered some 26 Mg juice with WTA in it and now use that juice (I keep it loaded in a clearomizer) when I feel I REALLY could go for an analog.

You can get that juice here- Whole Tobacco Alkaloid WTA Eliquid Ejuice

It worked out very well for me and did the trick.
Just wanted you to know, Lotsoffish - I'm trying this out, and if it doesn't work, I'm blaming you! Just kidding... :)

I am discouraged also. I have been vaping for 4 months now, me and my husband. We were down to 2-3 cigarettes each a day and this week has been awful. Lots of money stress more than before (which was a lot too) and now we are smoking 5-7 cigarettes each a day. We are trying not to beat ourselves up but really want to get off the analogs. I have had 1 cigarette today and I have been up for 5 hours now and craving another but vaping like crazy trying not to give in to it. I tried a 24 mg strength but it makes my head spin if I vape too much of it so I am vaping an 18 mg and it is a lot better but not as quick nicotine. I really want this to work. I have smoked for 24 years and I think a lot of it is pure habit. I forget that I have my lanyard on with my ecig on it alot of times and then tell myself I need a smoke now after a few hours so then I vape for about 10 minutes straight. I think I might need a better device right now I have a Tornado-T with stardust 18 mg 30 pg/70 vg.

Alot of it is habitual...I still find myself going outside to vape after I eat...LOL...the cravings for me have diminished totally for real cigs...you have to find that device that gives you all the vapor and juice that gives you the throat hit that ya need...at least that's how it was for me...I posted a link for the E-Power earlier in this thread..but at the same site they have an L-Rider variable voltage PV for a decent price...I've found that when I adjust the voltage on some flavors that I get that sweet spot for flavor and vapor that quells those analog urges. For me it was finding a device that makes vaping more enjoyable and a juice that I could pick up and not want to put down...Don't beat yourselves up...when you think about it...upgrading your PV to something bigger and better is an investment..and the money you save from not buying analogs is worth it. It totally blows my mind when I add up how much I'd spent on analogs over the course of my lifetime smoking before making the switch... It's as amazing as it is disgusting...like a trainwreck. Hang in there!!!:toast:

You're doing great!! One day when you feel more comfortable get a high nic juice (24mg) and just see if you can go without that analog. You might surprise yourself. It's defiantly a transition. For me I loved that I could actually stay IN the bar and vape instead of leaving my beer all lonesome going outside for an analog. Its a world of a difference. Maybe not the same but I LOVE vaping so much now. So much more than analogs. Don't worry you'll get there!

Have you tried going to 20 or 21 mg Nic. You could always buy some VG Food Grade from the pharmacy and "mix" down your 24 mg to to 20- 21 mg to see if that's a better level.

I had a professor that always liked to bring home the point of "It takes 21 days to change a habit." Now wether or not that number is scientifically true or not isn't really the point here. The point is habits formed over years and years of time will often take time to change. Anyone who has cut their cigarette consumption down from XX per day to X per day has still accomplished something, and you need to focus on that positive aspect of it. Don't say "I'm still smoking X per day." Say to yourself "I'm no longer smoking XX per day." When you put it in that light (The so called glass half full theory) it may help with how you feel.

For me, I think my ADD really helped in making the switch. Something new and shin...oh, what's that on the wall over there. :p

That IGO looks pretty cool but I would dissuade anyone from buying an auto battery.

My self i hate manual batterys,i have a 650 volt and 3 78 mm batts,,i hate feeling around for the buttons,,but i love my volt autos and plan to buy a couple 900's and 1300's as well as some more 78mm's.

i like the bigger ones for my volt cleaomizers, but for being on the go i perfer the 78's.
to each there own.

When I got a kit for my sister, she still smoked analogs when she was stressed and after eating. We went to a new store that allowed us to try different flavors and she fell in love with a couple of flavors there so we bought them.

Once she found a flavor she really liked, she never thought about a regular cig. As a matter of fact, she went to smoke one of her regulars a couple of days later when she saw them in her purse and said it tasted horrible! Before she found those flavors that REALLY worked for her she couldn't completely drop the analogs.

My neighbors had a different issue. They jumped right into the 5mg and craved all night until they asked us about it the next day. We gave them some 24 and 16 mg liquids that we didn't need anymore and they have been vaping only since then (and have dropped down to 11mg after about a week).

So I think it's about finding what really works for you and your personal habits.

I too have urge to smoke a good Sherman's black and gold when I am out playing golf. Since I switched to vaping, I am actually taking more nicotine. The reason being that I can conveniently vape inside of home whereas I have to go outside to take a analog. I am glad I switched to vaping and will eventually give up analog for good.

I used to love smokes like that. I plan to get a bigger battery (for the power and big vape) and fill a tank with french pipe just for those times when I want a cigar. That's about the only thing I still get an urge for. After a long, stressful week I would just love to kick back in the tub/pool with a nice drink and good cigar. I am hoping for a waterproof casing (or something) for my ego so I can do that without having to worry about getting it wet.

I still love the smell of pipes and cigars. I've loved that smell since I was a small child but I have quickly grown to highly dislike the smell of cigarettes now that I vape.

We had to make our neighbors' son stand back when he came by the other day because he was smoking (we got his parents to vape so they had already put him out the house with it). We felt bad because we used to all sit out front and smoke together but now he is the only analog smoker left. (Maybe we'll get him a kit as a belated graduation present)

Snip - congrats by the way u should pat urself on the back i do every night this weekend with the money i have saved i am going to treat me and my family to a day out. be sure to put ur money in a clear jar it is amazing the speed it fills up with flame resistant currency which would have normally gone up in smoke. - Snip

I thought it was just me that it helped to see the money in a jar! Simple but effective, for me!

I have been told 3 weeks as well and I find it quite accurate. It applies differently to smoking, of course, but the habit of doing something at a certain time or in certain circumstances can be changed.

For the positive part of the ones not smoked - put your money for smokes in the jar (like wavey) each day. Even if you still smoke, as you smoke less you will still be able to see that it is indeed adding more to the jar each day, each one not smoked makes a difference. We always had the money for smokes so we should always be able to add to the jar. When you need more smokes take the money out. If 20 smokes can last you 20 days, when they used to last a day, OMG What a difference!

You will know when you are ready to vape through that urge instead of smoking. It's Great to "Break Free". (Can you hear the music?) Lol
