So I have a kayfun mini and just built it at .9 ohms for use on the Precise Simplicity 14500 mod, works great... but would it be safe to use on the EVOD 1100 mah battery? It fires and vapes fine on it, but I'm worried over time it may heat up the battery too much. Am I flirting with disaster?

I just can't find a 14500 over 600 mah that's good for a mech, and the KFL mini is my going out setup.
Thanks!

I totally agree with tmcase. 0.9 ohms at 3.7 volts will draw 4.11 amps from your battery. That's way over what the Evod 1100 can handle. The Evod will be limiting the output so the battery does not heat up and vent, but it will be maxed out all the time. Not good for the battery and if that protection circuit fails you could experience what could seem a lot like an explosion.

14500 batteries are also not going to safely output enough amps to run sub ohm coils. You need to go to 18350s at least (6A max typically).

The Kayfun also does really well at around 1.7 ohms with 30 or 32 gauge wire, which would be fine with the Evods or with 14500 batteries. I run mine at around 1.3 ohms and that is great. I can go as low as I want though because I'm using 18650 batteries with 30A max output.

Vape safe.
