9 volt batterys everywhere!

Just wondering Imeo will the VV GG have a IC in it so you can use a 9 volt battery and drop it down to 3.7 Volts or other Voltage. I just thought if you are planning on make slimmer smaller GG's that my wife would love how about double AA bats or AAA bats just a thought I don't remember Ohm's law well enough so no laughing Thanks Adam

hello AdamAnd, just for info: AA is the size 14500 and available with 3,7 V, AAA is the size 10440 and available with 3,7 V.

Yes 9 volt exist but they are square I guess someone is going to have to make a better, smaller bat my mistake was on my first coffee haha

However, I don't think these would be very suitable for a PV ... they are only 300mAh-500mAh at best, and I don't think they can sustain the sort of amperage draw we require.

They don't actually exist in single cell terms , a 9v battery is actually 6 1.5v cells in one 9 volt package

Yup , its basically 6 batteries in series . cell technology sadly isn't something that moves fast (1.2 volt cell is thought to be 1000s of years old )

From what I understand , 3.7 is as high as it gets ie the lithium ion battery be it cobalt chemistry or magnesium (imr) or some hybrid of sorts , anything above that is multiple cells or its not a typical consumer battery.

Its not voltage that's important , a low enough coil can be driven with 1.5 v if you wanted . its output power/capacity safety and reusability which limits choice . BTW lithium cells cannot be recharged and that cell wouldn't even give you a single inhale

Basically batteries are not going to get much better but we can always hope for the ethanol fuel cell this should be the future for big power in small packages ( but its not a battery and you just add ethanol when your out of power )

I really have something in my mind aal and I am talking with my engineer about this. Its not impossible to make a small battery that will last for at least 2 days. The most difficult part is to make the right protection circuits on a battery like this
