901 Atomizers

Hi All,

Been awhile since I've been on, but I'm about ready to give up on the ecig. I was going along nice and happy until about 2 months ago when i ordered a new batch of 901 atomizers. They seem to be a newer style and the arch in the atomizer sticks up further. Every since these new atty's came out, vaping has kind of sucked, these things don't seem to wick the juice out of teh cart for squat! After about 6 weeks I order a new set and got those recently, differetn supplier, but same style, two are already dead, one DOA and the last one still has this problem where they don;t wick worth a darn. Is anyone else having this problem? I use a SD as my power source, so I'm pretty sure the battery isn't the issue, they are nice and strong, but the vape kind of sucks unless I top up the cart to the point of almost overflowing and then put it in, and it only pretty much vapes what's on top, doesn't pull the juice from the cart.

Any help would be appreciated.

It looks like it. Looks like it says SLB, then a space and maybe BD or HD and then a space and about 4 more letters I can't make out.

Have you tried using a little more length on your cart filler after replacing?

Yes. It seems to help some, but it gets pushed back up into the cart. I know the older ones had a lower bridge and they seemed to wick a lot more juice out of the cart. When they were done I could put anywhere from 5-10 drops back in, with these, I can only put about 2 and it is topped off again.

My 'theory' is that with the high bridge, the bridge doesn't get as hot and doesn't wick out the juice as well. But of course that is just my un-educated theory. It's just getting tiring having to top off so often. Not a big deal when I'm at home, but while driving it sucks.

They do use a different cartridge than the other 901's. They also don't burn as hot so the throat hit may seem less. Does your cartridge look like the one on the left?

^ those two suck! They leak very easily from the bottom.

I've noticed the same problem lately! I was wondering if I just put too much filler in my carts and its not letting go of the juice as well as a looser one would. Think I will try to change it out tonight and see if that helps.

There are different kinds of 901 atomizers, the lower bridge is the Rn4075 (first union "n" series) I Think!
The higher bridge one is stamped slb (sailebao brand)

There are also a lot of knockoffs around.

You may want to check with the original seller and ask. I have the slb type and have never had a problem..but then I have never tried the other.

You may also try the straw mod to help wick the juice up from the bottom.

I'm experiencing the same problem, I bought 2 new atomizers recently and the vapor production and burning through the e-juice aren't nearly as good as my old atomizers. Let me know if you fix this problem.

With the higher attys, I try to make a little nest in the middle. With the lower ones, I try to put it on with the batting peeking out of the top. I fill, put the cap on the atty, puff a few times, then leave the e-cig standing up for a few minutes. That seems to work for me.

Try the straw mod. It WILL help wicking the juice.

A bit different question - and refers to the cart pics earlier in this thread.
I have both types of carts - AND a 901 cart that is round interior with two side 'baffles?'
imagine an 'o' with ) ( inside rather than the outer shape of the right picture.

The only carts I can get decent vape out of are the ones pictured on the right. The 'D' shaped cart is less effective and the 3rd type is much worse than either.

I want to order carts - AND I only want ones like the picture on the right.
Any idea who has those - only those - and will not substitute if they are out of those?

Tried the straw mod with the hollow part of a Q-tip. On my atomizer that was doing good there is better vapor production, on my 2 atomizers that were not doing good there was no improvement.
