Sun Vaporer: no solder means only mechanical methods of completing the circuit... no wires, no epoxy just good ole fashioned smart design.... it was conceived by me as a frustrated e smoker....

It is made from 10 different peices each made by me. I tried to make it as simple as possible like a mag flashight to hopefully last a long time.

Can ya give us some details? A materials list? Some more pics so we can see what the set screw adjusts? How did you do it with no solder? I like it. I wanna know more.
Kevin: I would'nt mind making 10 or so... That is all... it does take some time to make them, but I would like to help my fellow e smokers.... I was very frustrated with my first experiences.... of failed batteries... etc...
Nicowolf: materials list? hmmm. well it is made from T6061 aluminum and brass rod.... machined to size... I really can't explain all the pieces as nothing was "off the shelf" I hope this answers your question and when I get a minute I will post more pics of the "guts"
Looks very nice! I especially like the ability to use different atomisers. All we need now is a way to make a home-brew atomiser from off-the-shelf components.

I've been through about 15 batteries now. Your idea looks to be solid and should hold up well.
here are the guts... the set screw holds in whatever atomizer attachment one chooses... my goal was to have it work for all existing atomizers.......
it uses a user replaceable switch from RS. also cr123 easy to find batteries... plus a 901 or classic or whatever = simple yet affective. I have spent the last 15 years designing things for companies I've worked for... now I designed something for myself to quit smoking... lovin it!
pls understand.... I am not really here to advertise... I posted here to get ur guys opinions on something I made... I am not here to try and rip people off, I was totally ripped of with my first e cig experience... it was frustrating... I own a screwdriver, it is great, but has some faults... I attempted to correct those with my own design.... its just my nature. seriously if anyone is interested, I will make 10 for others, I have no idea the $$$ but definitely less that the screwdriver, it does take some time to make, I have already thought a few improvements during my prototype phase... I would like to make adapters for all e cigs out there, but I only own a few myself... I'm tired of being a collector of e-cigs... I never spent this much time trying out real ones for sure........ pls all understand I am not a bandit and am for real... if you have some ideas let me know, i'll try to help if I can.
If you have any design documentation (Autocad files? CNC lathe toolpaths?), perhaps you could put it in the public domain and others will be able to make improvements or build up a library of adapter designs.
strayling: sounds like u know the industry.... i have no problem with sharing... GNU is the best... I could convert the files to dxf if you think someone would be interested?
