ugh! so now i have to design an atomizer too? LOL... JK... I will say my problem was with the battery life and failure rate, and its expense.... but i've only been doing this for 9 mos now so maybe i'm missing something... I just treated the atomizers as disposable peaces... like throwing away cigarette butts I guess. If I do come up with a new atomizer, I'll be sure to let everyone know... thx for the replies everyone.

Whatever -- Whatever it is worth (no pun intended), I too think e-cigs from China leave much to be desired. What's with all this hostility? I haven't read this forum as long as some of you have. I don't think it is a big secret.

People are entitled to their opinion, but it really makes me mad when people use words like Chinese bashing for essentially customer feedback. It is an insult to those who face and live with the real racism everyday.

Anyway, I might be interested in buying one. I was going to make one (using RCR123 and plastic tubing) for myself. But yours look better (no machining skills for me). How about putting them on eBay or PM me? Is it 6V? No need for atomizer, carts, or liquid..

It's not just customer feedback if it makes a point of pointing out race / nationality. It is the endless repetition of such nonsense which makes "real racism" possible.

Big Daddy: happy to put u on the list... if u are serious? I would gladly make one for ya. have to wait a few days for my stock of nylon rod to come in however..... are u a 901 guy? 4.2 volts + 901 makes mega vapor... enough to choke ya.. LOL not really but it does make mega vapor....

WhateveR , If possable I would like to have adapters for 901 & 801 , I'll gladly pay whatever you think your time & materials are worth , I just wish I still had my Mill & Lathe.

Nice mod , but if your selling these then this doesn't belong in the modders forum , rather the suppliers forum.

Deja vu..it appears..

I am interested in the ability to accept all types of atomizers tho, I know how the solderless assmbly works and that's the sure way to go , but i'd like to know what's involved in making the ability to fit various atomizers.

Can I ask what were the faults and/or what you attempted to correct with your design?

First understand, I am not criticizing what Trog has done. He has made a great product that stands up very well...

I tried to design from the ground up something durable and easy to repair if it ever got broken. I made the switch easy to replace by anyone in just a few minutes and a trip to RS... Thats why it has this easy to find switch... I could have easily found or designed some strange off the wall switch, but if it ever broke you would be out of luck. If you can unscrew a screw you can change the switch... the same idea was around the atomizer... I thought why should we have a different device for all the different atomizers? Why not make something that is universal that can adapt easily to all. The idea is to simply insert a 901 or classic, or Dura-C, or WhateveR into the device, tighten one set screw and away you go.

Aside from it being designed from the ground up to be a e cig battery adapter, other improvements are the button is more protected from breaking off by being recessed slightly... sounds like a small improvement until you drop it... plus it just looks nicer. ;-) and did I mention not one drop of solder? LOL... what that means is anyone can service/repair or swap out adapters...

Once again... I am not knocking Trog or his beautiful screwdriver.... I have one...

Price???? well I'm still thinking about that... I really only plan on making 10 or so of these... they take some time to produce... I will let everyone know soon - a fair price.

I will also make a video of it working and how it is assembled for all to see soon....

Thx for all the replies and feedback everyone. One thing I do need from someone is a dimension for the largest ecig atomizer out there. The outer Ø (diameter) is really all I need right now... I want to make sure that even the largest ones will fit without any fuss before I make a few more for close friends and family... and if I have a couple left afterwards, I will be happy to part with those.

For what it's worth.... I know a lot of us are having problems with atomizers... I believe some of those problems are really due to low/poor voltage running through them... I have had a lot less atomizer issues since I've been using better batts.... i.e. cr123's...

btw: mjp808 is absolutely correct it holds 1 cr123...

I hope to get a few more of these done soon, I will post some more pics and maybe a video for anyone interested at that time.
